  1. Tennis Thread 2013

Djokovic just hit 46 winners against Nadal on clay in three sets! Total demolition job! What makes it even more astounding is that he played horrendously in the first set.
  2. Vidic to leave at end of the season

This! It wasn't even a really bad header from Vidic, Carrick should have clearly been the first player on the ball and if he didn't back off at the last second he would've gotten a freekick.

Novak is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He's funny, has time for everybody and most importantly he's always been very gracious in defeat. Oh and Gulbis is an attention-whoring spoiled fecking twat. He and his comments can feck off

Reporter:- "How do you get your guys into Game 7?" Gregg Popovich:- "I get them on a bus and it arrives at a ramp over here and we go on the court and we play."
  5. Nba 2012-13

Well Pop clearly didn't like it, and with a guy like Parker you know he's gonna create something running full-court without a set defence. There seemed to be confusion on the court from both teams right after Allen made the shot, I think they were all expecting a timeout that wasn't there...
  6. Nba 2012-13

I don't know if anyone else noticed but there was a rather peculiar situation that arised after Allen made that three. Spurs had no timeouts left, so they just had to inbound the ball as quickly as possible. But the officials call a timeout to review the play and see if Allen's foot was on the...

I feel sorry for Leonard, he played his heart out and was excellent the entire game, seemingly always making the right decisions. In fact, he's been very good this whole series.

Luck also plays its part of course, but one of those missed 3-pointers towards the end the ball ended up right above the paint and was tipped a couple of times, three Spurs players who were on to it couldn't grab the ball. With Duncan in there, Spurs are less likely to be unfourtunate ;)
  9. Nba 2012-13

Yes I understand that, I still don't agree with the concept. They could have just put Duncan on the player least likely to get the ball and take a shot and it's not like Duncan's a slouch either and in this particular situation there's no time for the other team to mess around with the ball and...

I'm not a big fan of the concept of taking out your big man replacing him with a smaller player to guard the perimeter when the other team needs a 3-pointer. What fecking use did it do to the Spurs here? Heat still got decent looks and on top of that you limit yourself in the rebounding department.

I'm too tired to make a thourough analysis, I just want to say that Man Utd's performance tonight was one of the worst and most damaging I've ever seen in my life, without a doubt the worst I've seen in an important game.
  12. Nba 2012-13

That's pretty unfair to Jordan, he certainly did not take a lot of inefficent shots in his career overall. Between 84-93 his shot selection was excellent and he was very efficient with his scoring and he had the most dominating mid-range game the sport has ever seen. I'm always blown away when I...

For example, James is a much greater player than Reggie Miller, I'd still take Miller over James in crunch-time, simply because Miller's superb off-ball movement and shooting ability is gonna create a shot with higher percentage.
  14. Nba 2012-13

You could say that James doesn't have near the same level of killer instinct mentality that Jordan used to have in his prime but there's more to it than that. James does so many things on the court that you could say that he doesn't really have a defined and consistent half-court offense...
  15. Nba 2012-13

That was Man Utd's first start of the season and his best performance in ages, turns out it was a great decision by Pop to start him. He got into the flow of the game immediately, dishing out some nice passes and scoring in that 1st quarter, then completely took over the game late in the 3rd during...
