  1. Next Manchester United captain

What’s great to see, though, is there are 4-5 candidates. When Maguire was made captain, the squad was absolutely starved of leaders.
  2. Maguire is no longer United captain

Correct decision. I also like how he is staggering these things. If he had pushed out DDG, Maguire, McFred and Ronaldo in one summer, it would have been too much and could have backfired. He’s given everybody a chance to fit his system.
  3. Tennis 2023

    Brilliant final.
  4. All ticket/travel information thread - 2023/24 edition - Please be careful purchasing tickets

Really strange, my FA cup tickets are £52, my Burnley £36, and my Barcelona tickets.... £25! All in the same seat.
  5. Semi Finals: Argentina vs Croatia | Eng... France vs Morocco

Croatia with good possession, but you do feel that Messi will grow into this game and find space into the latter stages of the game.
  6. Clive Tydesley replaced as main ITV commentator

I can't help but think there's an element of nostalgia in the praise of Tyldesley and criticism of Matterface. Matterface whilst not the finished product, whilst making the odd mistake and quoting the bad line, comes across as well-researched, prepared and has good balance to his commentary...
  7. How do we sell Harry Maguire?

He's slow He's expensive He's making mistakes He's a failed regimes captain He's out of form But, lets not just re-write history here. He was also very good for us for most of his first 2 seasons, where he helped us secure 3rd and 2nd place in the PL. This gained us a lot of financial...
  8. Manchester United vs Crystal Palace

Clearly there will be no dramatic changes just yet, I expect him to pick a balanced team and test a system out with the form players.
  9. Michael Carrick leaves Manchester United

Did a near perfect job this last week or so. I think this is the right decision for him.
  10. Rangnick gegenpress conference vs Palace (H)

Excellent press conference, he came across very well.
  11. Paul Pogba | 2021/22 Performances

Based on last night, yes. Based on his form in previous games/seasons, no.
  12. Not sacking managers early enough

So progressing the team from 6th, to 3rd, then 2nd is "failing on every credible level" is it? Granted, this season we have gone backwards and his job is rightly under scrutiny, but recency-bias of simply forgetting what he did do in previous seasons is ridiculous.
  13. Paul Pogba | 2021/22 Performances

I think so. He's got the pass, the shot, the vision to play 10. Just not in the PL.
  14. Maguire needs to be replaced

Maguire was excellent for us for most of his first two seasons for us. He's been a big part in driving us into the top 4 and then top 2. He's also in atrocious form right now. Some fans clearly don't seem to realise that good players can have bad form.
