Its a shame whats happened to him, the Villa version would have been brilliant for us and had a swagger that we're crying out for, and would have been a main player for us instead of a bit-part in City.

For me thats down to poor leadership within the hierachy and if its rotten at the top that filters down throughout (similar to the last 10 years with other players), i doubt Bayern would ever have considered Basti a poor pro.

Wrong on so many levels, I really hate the way the club has been run. Club is absolutely rotten, no leadership from the top down, its no wonder we're in the position we are with so many bad apples throughout the hierarchy.

There's multiple solutions though, its not all about spending big on a player or 2 (which i do think is what's needed) and its what Klopp has done really well. It should be a combination of: 1. Investing in the squad; Neves, Todibo etc 2. Promoting youth; Garnacho, Mainoo, Kambwala this year...

I find it weird the opposite way personally, put Pep or Klopp in charge and i still believe we'd be where we are, i dont believe 1 person (ie the coach/manager) is at fault for our poor performances over the past 10 years and the issues are much deeper.

Horrific reading but no surprise at all. Its going to take 5 years to reverse the past 10 years of poor practices, there's no quick fix to our issues as there isnt just 1 problem. Big job on for SJR and his team.

Potter wouldnt be the end of the world, I think he'd fail but as with every manager post SAF, its symptom not cause.

He was great yesterday and on that performance, im surprised he hasnt played more this season. Is there a reason? Was it a one-off? How has he performed in the youth side, for those that have watched him there?

Thought he did well, a few sloppy moments but having a midfield that offers so few options when you’ve got the ball makes it hard playing centre half for us.
