  1. Amad Diallo | 2023/24 Performances

I believe that you'll find that Forson was on the the bench also and EtH chose Amad instead, as the greater goal threat. The only reason Forson has been played ahead of him previously, is that EtH rates Forson enough to want him to sign a new contract and was keen to prove that to him.
  2. Amad Diallo | 2023/24 Performances

Seems to me that the ball was a good one, it's just that Bruno decided to dummy, thinking that Eriksen was behind.
  3. Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

A lot of our squad are not athletic enough, The athletic ones are either very young, or lack enough technique to be United players or are injured. Having our best players (Martinez and Shaw) back for a few matches really papered over the cracks of the previous regime's squad building. I think...
  4. Amad Diallo | 2023/24 Performances

Forson hasn't signed a contract and EtH obviously rates him enough to want to keep him if possible. This is in marked contrast to Hansen-Aarøen who he didn't play. I would imagine that Amad will get a game soon but he'll be introduced against the right opposition for his own sake. Keeping...
  5. We need 3 new CMs. Who do we sign?

Whoever we sign, height is a big consideration. Casemiro was important at set pieces last season and whereas Martinez is effective in general play his technique against bigger players at corners etc. is problematic. Mainoo is taller than his often stated height online and may grow some more but...
  6. The genius of Marcus Rashford

Yes it's almost as if they're frightened it could be the last chance to spew abuse before they have to shut up for a while again. Very similar to how the anti-Lineker gammons are triggered on TwiX.
  7. The genius of Marcus Rashford

He was a threat. I think a lot of you hate it when he takes defenders on and fails where I'd prefer it if he carried on trying to be direct rather than pass the ball back to a midfielder (within reason of course). It doesn't really help his confidence when everyone is on his back and spurting...
  8. The genius of Marcus Rashford

That's what happens in football. Having a good first half meant that Spurs had to devote more resources to stem the threat. Last season he was more difficult to stop as he built up a lot of confidence. Getting pilloried for not attempting to dribble and being tackled when he does must play with...
  9. The genius of Marcus Rashford

Has rattled the snowflakes by having a good game I see. It was interesting watching him a few times at O.T. this season . The amount of times he makes runs but isn't passed to was an eyeopener. Having Garnacho on the other side has doubled the threat from the wide forward players which makes...
  10. Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

We started the match with no left sided defenders (for the umpteenth time this season). It's not surprising that, once Martinez was introduced, we looked better and Spurs grip on midfield loosened. The balance will be fully restored when we can play Shaw and Casemiro too.
  11. Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

Onana has been sound recently, at least in the league, apart from the issue with free kicks that may or may not get a touch before going in. That's one for the goalkeeping /set piece coaches but is definitely solvable. He wasn't the first target last summer either. It's quite obvious that Ineos...
  12. Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

There'd have been less pressure on him to perform if he'd have cost £25m or even the £40m the club originally baulked at. The club panicked, paid over the odds, and put way too much pressure on him.
  13. Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

So it's possible to turn a club round after a season of key injuries and squad holes? Excellent.

Read Adnan's post from yesterday on the Oscar Zambrano thread.
  15. Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

Apparently we'd let the scouting dept. go just before ten Hag arrived and we had no suggestions ready for his targets. He really wanted a forward and the club enquired about Antony, among others, but at 40m he was deemed too expensive. Ten Hag had to make his own suggestions (Malacia and Licha)...
