Probably just trying to point out that - shock horror - upsets in the Youth Cup do happen

Or... it was a cup upset. They happen. Maybe there is a weak mentality there but you can't make that judgement off one cup game.

100% record in the league at Christmas and progress in both domestic cups is pretty good for a group several people on here were really down on in the summer huh?

Remarkable the strength in depth we've got this season, particularly in midfield. Think Fitzgerald is wasted a bit playing as a 10. Going to be very interesting to see what sort of XI we settle on when the Youth Cup comes around.

There will be some setbacks this season I'm sure, but.... remember when people on here were writing this entire group off because of some iffy performances in a pre-season tournament? Good times

Never in any competitive game since the academy system was introduced in 98(?) as far as I can tell. Think you have to go back to the mid 90s and the A/B teams playing in the Lancashire leagues.
