  1. Who are the greatest Jack of all trades, master of none players throughout history?

Niclas Alexandersson, formerly off Sheff Wed, Everton and West Ham. In one version of Champ Manager he could every position except GK!
  2. Random footballers from years gone by that you remember for no reason...

Gary Bannister, productive centre forward for Sheff Wed and QPR in mid to late 80s
  3. High-end player wages: a help or a hindrance?

I really don't care too much about our wage bill as long we don't let it get out of control so that the safety of the club is at risk. As fans we really don't know the details in contracts, just like we don't know what the behaviours, attitudes and training levels of the players and staff are...
  4. Random goalkeepers you remember

Jimmy Nielsen. Awesome potential on the 95/96 Champ Manager game, was a youth player for Millwall. Just checked him on Wikipedia, seems he had a lengthy career in Denmark and USA
  5. Players who burst onto the scene

Definitely Giggs. Lee Sharpe looked like he was about to lock down the LW position at the age of 20/21, then Giggs blew him out the water. He was fantastic and didn't decline in his mid 20s like some others
  6. Favourite Commentator?

Barry Davies, preferred him to Motty
  7. Players you really wanted here but failed when they joined other clubs

Steven Defour. There seemed to be firm interest in him but suffered injury and later underwhelmed at Burnley.
  8. Make a starting 11 with your favourite United players

What a midfield! And to think we only paid a transfer fee for just one of them!
  9. De Gea Signs New Contract to 2023 (+1)

Good news. Hopefully back to his best very soon too. To think some wanted him sold and Romero given a chance as our #1
  10. The importance of a marquee signing

Of course he was. The price tag & him being first choice CF for Belgium. He started very well, shame it didn't last
  11. Bolton Wanderers in the 2000s

Money was the pull. Massively overpaying for very average players (sound familiar?! ) while they couldn't raise anywhere near enough revenue. I read Jay Spearing was on ~£40k p/w while they were in the Championship. Their fans fickle who left in droves when the team were sliding.
  12. Which player do you still believe in (that everyone else doesn't)?

Smalling + a dominant CB, whoever that might be, would see us right for some time. Totally disagree when posters call him deadwood.
  13. Is Matic a big reason why we can't build attacks?

For me he's the player that should shield the CBs, we'll always need at least one player in that role and IMO he's ahead of Fellaini. We have better options for the positions further forward, Andreas and Herrera the most obvious
  14. Lee Grant | 2018/19 Performances

Yeah our current lot much more convincing than Howard, Carroll and Ricardo c. 2002 ☺️
  15. Managers you forgot existed

Brian Horton. Managed City in the mid 90s. Currently assistant manager to Phil Brown at Swindon, turns 70 years old in Feb! Over 1000 games as a manager and 600+ games as a player.
