My bigger fear is that we may be turning into the Liverpool of the 90s/00s, marked by consecutive wrong managerial appointments and an outsized influence of players from a previously successful generation.
I like this idea. It logically follows that we should have offside circles, instead of a line. Any attacker outside of the circumference of the circle of the last defender will now be ruled offside. This should clear up any lingering confusion about the offside rule too.
I'm trying to imagine...
This scenario can only really happen if United were facing City on the last day of the league, with both the title and fourth place being up for grabs. Otherwise, I don't see how these are valid alternatives.
If such a scenario were to happen, though, I would rather we get fourth, since it...
I hope we also get to face a much weaker opponent than Madrid in the final, so that Klopp gets to say a version of his 'They played Ajax, we played Sevilla, that's the difference'.
Coutinho really should have been in the squad. Could've stepped in for Oscar if it turns out that Oscar's poor form from the last few months is going to carry over the WC. As it is, Brazil relies too heavily on Oscar to provide them the creative outlet.
