  1. VAR and Refs | General Discussion | Forest go into meltdown

Yeah he quite clearly knew what he was doing.
  2. Chelsea 2023/24 season thread.

Well, what you're hoping to be improvements. Considering the recent track record, we can all hope you mess up spectacularly again  It's not uncommon for players to play through injury that might require surgery. It's also possible the condition may have evolved and now requires surgery. He...
  3. The shocking decline of Trent Alexander Arnold

He also had a lot more protection from his MFs in the previous iterations of Klopp's teams. He's more exposed now.
  4. Klopp to leave Liverpool at the end of the season

Well in fairness, Bayern did dominate that final - but that was expected, we were without our 2 starting CMs and were probably running on fumes by then. CL finals aren't usually great games anyway, with some exceptions. It doesn't really matter because the way we won it was a wonderful summary...
  5. The shocking decline of Trent Alexander Arnold

In fairness, when I see him "defending", neither can I. He lacks several key elements to be an effective CM I'd say, or you need to accomodate him too much. It might work when you have majority of possession and a team is happy to try to hit you on the break, but in a game of contested...

Good actor. Watch him be given a shit role and 2 lines of dialogue.
  7. Dan Ashworth - Newcastle DoF currently tending to his garden

Thank you for explaining negotiation to us!
  8. Martin Ødegaard | Arsenal player

This is really not cool or funny.
  9. Music Taylor Swift

Oh I agree wholeheartedly! I just think there's a more general point about the prices around the entertainment industry, and music specifically, not limited to her (but more extreme in her case) that would be worth discussing, all the while criticising her. Her jet flying around is also fair game :)
  10. Music Taylor Swift

Oh it really wasn't a criticism - it's genuinely interesting and gives some sense of perspective, and I think it could be a good dedicated thread.
  11. Music Taylor Swift

@UnrelatedPsuedo you're making some interesting points but I feel it's more a general one on the music industry (and while she's currently one of its biggest emanations, she doesn't have the monopoly on it) and I think it would be worth having a dedicated thread to that!
  12. Donkai Havertz | Arsenal Watch

He's always been a bit of a streaky player though, hasn't he?
  13. Film Civil War (written and directed by Alex Garland) - in theaters on April 12, 2024

They've been discussed extensively over the past page and a half - did you read the messages? There's not so many. The themes are also pretty evident I would say :)
  14. Film Civil War (written and directed by Alex Garland) - in theaters on April 12, 2024

I agree with this - it's a really weird stance from people it's excellent for what it is and mainly because of what it is. It doesn't need more exposition, we don't need the reasons why it's the Civil War started - the current state of the world and of politics are sufficient for our collective...
