  1. Mikel Arteta | Arsenal Elite level manager

Hardly the worst transfer ever and I don't see how you can be sure he won't return to some form and be a useful player for them given his pedigree. Having a bad season but then most of their big players are. I think Arteta is a bit 'clever clever' though with his tactics and selections and...
  2. Mikel Arteta | Arsenal Elite level manager

That work on transfers doesn't seem bad actually. Partey is a class player, Gabriel is good, Mari looks good too IMO, Cedric is better than Bellerin these days and Odegaard was clearly a good move. So maybe he does need time but some of his selections and tactics are baffling.
  3. Pochettino watch | PSG Manager (18 month contract)

Good win but seemed like a freak result to an extent. With Lewa fit instead of Chupa-Chups, Bayern probably would have won that game 6-3 or summat. Fancy them in the return leg assuming he is back.
  4. Nikola Milenkovic

He has never looked good when I have watched him.
  5. England's best XI

So who plays on the right there - Grealish? Rashford? or does Rice sit and let the full backs attack, with Grealish in a free role and Rashford and Kane attacking? I see Rashford as a bench option tbh.
  6. England's best XI

Pope -------------- Alexander-Arnold Stones Maguire Shaw -------------- Rice Mount Grealish -------------- Sancho Sterling Kane I guess he won't play such an adventurous midfield though and it will be Phillips instead of Grealish with Mount the more advanced midfielder. Winks would have been an...
  7. Potential striker signings (who aren't named Haaland)

This thread shows very clearly that there are not a lot of quality striker options around. Haaland seems like the only realistic option and everyone will be after him . It seems likely he will go to one of the oil-funded clubs. Andre Silva - interesting idea but there have to be doubts about...
  8. Donny van de Beek | 2020/21 Performances

I'm not trying to say anything about him as he hasn't had a proper chance yet IMO, but it amuses me a bit that that is the second time he has played for us where the only really good thing he did was deliberately not play the ball :)
  9. Solskjaer: Winning trophies is more of an ego thing for managers, league position is where true progress is seen

I have never bought the argument that winning one of the lesser cups 'teaches you how to win' or leads you on to better things. Sometimes it happens because the team is improving, but normally you only see that after 2, 3 or 4 trophies, like with Fergie at the end of the 80s. A lot of the time...
  10. Donny van de Beek | 2020/21 Performances

I would like to see us try out Bruno as a false 9 and VdB behind him with Rashford left and Greenwood right and McFred or McPogba behind.
  11. England's Left Back

Chilwell is much better than Targett. His form dropped only slightly and now he is in and out of the team, but he should still be in the squad. Saka should too, but is not really playing at left-back now (more right midfield). Shaw is clearly the man in form.
  12. Crystal Palace vs Manchester United

Eh? They have only scored 7 goals in their last 10 matches and failed to score in 6 of them!
  13. How is that Hudson-Odoi handball not a penalty?

Maybe it should have been a penalty but it was a nothing incident really, hate to see penalties from those kinds of things. When it happened, like seemingly everyone else I thought it came off Greenwood's hand, accidentally. Not the kind of thing that should decide an even game.
  14. Potential CB Options

Fofana has looked really good for Leicester. Annoying as hard to buy now. I would like to see Bailly get a run though.
  15. Was Lindelofs foul for Tuanzebe’s goal the correct decision?

He only had eyes for the ball but I guess technically it was a foul. Shame. Axel deserved the goal.
