Promising player but £75m is too much, he is by no means a sure thing. Todibo would be half that.

I think the main reason he hasn't featured all that much is that he seems to be a more natural fit in the ten position rather than wide.

Maybe my imagination but I feel like the same basic problem has applied in a lot of games. In fact one of the things about Mainoo is he has looked to solve the problem. In a lot of the games before that the midfield just stayed wide open.

What I don't like about the positions is that every game we seem to start off with Casemiro deep and Mainoo and Fernandes pushing up, and every game it doesn't work all that well until Mainoo starts dropping a bit deeper. It seems to me we should be clearer that it is a two with Fernandes ahead.

Best - Martinez is the only one who really raises us up a level. Dalot, Shaw, Fernandes, Varane, Maguire, Mainoo, McTominay and Garnacho have all been decent. Worst - Antony. Rashford has had a very bad season but has still offered more. Martial is in the conversation as well.
