  1. The number 1 attribute we need in a new manager

Ancelotti's league history isn't great. Klopp scraped 4th twice in his first 3 seasons. 1 point ahead of 5th. Nothing easy about it. World transfer record for a defender that season as well. It did take that kind of money guided by professionals to help achieve the right players and it took...
  2. Gaming Inaugural Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia, worth more than $60M, hopes to send ‘positive message’ to struggling industry

Eh it's a fine term. Gaming is too general and video gaming is outdated. Collective term to denote competition in the virtual space, fairly self explanatory.
  3. Gaming Inaugural Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia, worth more than $60M, hopes to send ‘positive message’ to struggling industry

Why? This is just marketing. World Cup has a higher prestige to the name and the Saudis bought it for esports.
  4. Gaming Inaugural Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia, worth more than $60M, hopes to send ‘positive message’ to struggling industry

2.9 million fans going to Saudi in the summer for a sportswashing bonanza? I'm doubtful.
  5. Jadon Sancho Borussia Dortmund loan watch (Has ended ten Hag)

I just vomited a little in my mouth.
  6. Champions League — quarter-finals and semi-finals draw

    Something close, like 37.
  7. Champions League — quarter-finals and semi-finals draw

I could see Real wanting to replace Carvajal with Dalot. Not too dissimilar players. Can't see a single United player getting into that Real team. Similar with City. A fit Shaw could play for City and Onana would look fine there as well but that's about it. We're so far behind those teams.
  8. Champions League — quarter-finals and semi-finals draw

Walker looking shit when he can't use his strength or pace to make up for his defensive faults.
  9. Who are the smallest "big club"?

That's because basketball is an individual sport masking as a team sport and fans brag about hall of fame entries and stats. Americans are obsessed with individual stats and menial records like "this is the first time they've scored less than two touchdowns in the first 2Q on a Thursday night in...
  10. Premier League Gameweek 33

Most teams in the league play better out the back than us. We're better than almost everyone at countering but among the worst at playing out the back, mostly because of our wingers. Amad, Antony And Mount for Rashford, Garnacho and Casemiro would improve that aspect massively.
  11. Bruno is underrated thread

Huh? The problem with that stat is the objectiveness measured for what is considered a Stat but in general, assuming a chance is created, it's better than assists or even goals. The players with the highest amount of chances created is the best attacker in every team.
  12. Rasmus Højlund | 2023/24 Performances

He's maybe like the 15th best striker in the league. Playing with him alone was always going to spell trouble. Two strikers were clearly needed last summer. We all knew it, it was publically said but it didn't get done and that is going to cost you. SAF rarely had fewer than 3 top strikers in...
  13. Race for Top 5 finish - Possible 5 teams in CL next season

Why would West Ham winning the EL change anything? Top 4 + possible 5th spot + possible 6th club if it wins the CL and doesn't qualify via league and possible 7th club if it wins the EL and doesn't qualify via league. If the winner of the CL qualifies via league then that spot goes to the top...
  14. Race for Top 5 finish - Possible 5 teams in CL next season

That's not what the thread is about. It's about if Spurs and Villa both making it to the CL and some others clinging to hope. We have to focus on staying ahead of Newcastle, West Ham and Chelsea but preferably winning the cup.
