Yep - Insurgency is in between HLL and COD. Not as accurate/serious as HLL but easier to drop in for quick games.

I play co-op and never had any issues. You can always choose to avoid the American servers! :) It is much slower but that for me is part of the appeal :) Probably better for your aging reflexes too :)
