    The players they have signed in Jan make a lot more sense compared to what they did in the summer. Still need to keep spending though - expect they sign a MF (Caicedo), striker and maybe a right sided forward in the summer.

    Yes and the clear path is for him to rotate in two positions while he adjusts to the game and eventually make one position his own over the next few years. I don’t see the issue. He is not Haaland or Mbappe.

    We can start by not renewing Ronaldo and DDG next summer. Then there is half a dozen players that can be sold without loosing much squad depth

    Ronaldo, Maguire and DDG leaving would drop those wages by 60m or so. Need to then get rid of Shaw, Martial, AWB etc. Must get CL for higher revenue of 50-60m. Then cancel dividends and lower salary for top management and directors.

    Ronaldo, DDG and Maguire leaving should bring down those wages by £1.2m per week. Then after that it should mean that we sell and replace: Shaw and Telles -Alvaro?     If we had this guy, we could play him as a rotation CB and RB. Theoretically we could sell AWB and Maguire and replace with Timber.

    Yes, several will make it. Difficult to predict but I would guess that Mejbri, Alvaro, Zidane, Savage. Would love to see a McNeil step up and make it given the scarcity of strikers but he needs to add more to his game. I suppose Elanga has already made it.

  14. Which positions/roles are most stacked or scarce in talent at the moment?

    There seem to be a lot of inside forwards/ inverters wingers in football but not as many good 9s.

    I think he is approaching the big 3 category alongside Haaland and Mbappe.
