  • Pep is the greatest coach ever (despite the fact he hasnt done it without being at the best club with the biggest budget/infastructure). His teams are dominant unlike anything else I've witnessed, he's tactically innovative and his teams are a...
  • Goal, clean sheet and appearance bonuses are very common (I've read/heard most pro contracts include them). Not hitting bonuses is essentially the same as a reduction.
  • This.
  • Total wins is not meaningful without accounting for games played, either ppg or win %. You could argue even those don't matter in knockout competitions, and that loss % is the only stat that matters. His record is roughly on par with previous...
  • Brazilian Ronaldo is an interesting shout. At PSV, Barcelona and Inter pre injury he was producing breathtaking performances, but didn't make enough appearances to really impact either club's history, and didn't win a league title at any of...

Interesting. Do you think it's lefty BBC overcompensating to avoid being labelled partisan, or do you think they want a higher representation of Tories? Personally I'd expect its as much just an issue of organisation. I imagine the shows in big...

Can't believe Southgate has been England manager for 8 years. That's several years longer than other England managers in my lifetime. The squad now is probably the best one he's had during his tenure (absences aside). Experienced players still...

Wouldn't mind selling him if we can bring in a good replacement. Selling him would be a lower priority than selling Sancho and Antony though, so we might end up needing two or maybe even three new wingers/wide forwards. Garnacho appears on track...

Disappointing end to the series but overall I think England can take a fair few positives from the series. Duckett and Crawley did well, and our opening partnership has been a major concern for years. They're both young enough that they can...

I had a look through previous results and the last time England won defending sub 200 in the 4th innings was August 2018, vs India at Edgbaston. India needed 194, England won by 31 runs.

England's bowlers will have to pull off their best performance of the last few years to win here. Can't even think of a time we've defended a lead of sub 200 in the 4th innings. Always seems like we only win chasing.

I feel like England have a decent chance if the lead is 250. 300 would be great. One more big partnership needed. Edit: Stokes gone. 166-5 essentially. Not confident.
