It does appear to be a case of sensationalism. The company GF Biochemicals recently raised 15 million in their series A. I assume this would give it a market cap between 50-100 million euros. If Flamini was worth 14 billion, the company would likely be worth over 30 billion which would almost...
If he doesn't want to terminate his contract, the club should just trigger the contract extension and have him train with the reserves until the end of his contract. The player has more to lose than the club in this situation.
I imagine Casemiro is doing this for a new challenge. He'll be paid more money than Madrid, but I don't doubt he could get more money elsewhere if he really wanted to.
I see this happen a fair bit in my line of work as well, people who've made a tremendous amount of money in their current...
Clearlake has more money but they will also want a very significant ROI from their Chelsea investment - they are a private equity firm after all. They have an AUM of 72 billion but that is very different than a billionaire growing a club through their own funds.
This is the best possible outcome for Chelsea IMO. They've captured all of the upside of Abramovich's ownership and none of the downside via this transaction.
I don't think you can convince people to be more motivated. I can see two ways of doing it -
a) Hire leaders - People respond well to leaders. Those who can do their job at a high level, can help others improve and demand the best from others
b) Sounds ruthless, but hire intrinsically motivated...
Football supporter are rather 'sticky', most of us will continue to support United or at the least watch/follow games. Years and years of irrelevance will eventually stop the new generation of fans from supporting united and at some point that will translate to a loss of supporters. From their...
30 million is an excellent fee if true. I suspect Lingard will be an adequate replacement.
30 mil + 50k/week * 2 years is roughly 35 million saved/earned. That ought to cover Ronaldo's fee and most of his wages for the first year.
Either that, or it frees up some funds to sign a midfielder...
I can't imagine United will smash our wage structure, even for a player like Haaland. Transfer and agent fees plus his wages will put him out of reach I suspect.
There's also a good chance that he'll leave for free after his contract.
