Yep.

Game over. Lost 2-0.

Need a few results to go United's way to have a chance with the wildcard.

So according to someone at the game, Kashiwa dominated possession first half and created chances but United had some too. They took theirs while United missed.

In the second United got much better in terms of keeping the ball too and created chances but they scored off a cheeky freekick and then both teams created opportunities.

And according to another person at the game and a Arsenal fan on twitter, Number 11. was our best player and very good at creating stuff while Number 10. was fantastic for them. Who is Number 11 for United ?

Edit - Slavo120 JUST PM'd me from the Newbies saying Mats Daehli is number 11.

Thanks for the updates MrMujac. That's another strange sub with Ioannau coming on for GVV, but can't really tell without knowing the context.

Basically Warren Joyce is the context.

It's all about development, match practice and experience.

It's no good taking over a young team and not playing them.

What do people want Joyce to do?

Fornasier and Blackett are our two most experienced CH's while James and Hendrie have been with U/21'as all season. So back four picks itself. At HT in each game he has brought Grimshaw on for experience. Again no problem with that.

He has played Daehli wide left all three games. No problem there. Weir has been wide right with Pearson and Ekanagemene in the middle. Again I don't see the problem. He has then brought younger midfielders on to replace those...or Barmby on to give more width. Januzaj started first two games in hole but was suspended for this one.

So the only real discussion I can see around Joyce is his choice of striker. James Wilson has been out for three months with a recurring ankle injury and had played only one Academy match since returning. He needs to cpome back slowly.

So given all that I just don't see what some are going on about.

I actually don't really have a problem with Joyce, it was a joke.

Would you mind editing the OP and maybe add that list in a spoiler.

Looking at the other two groups in our section, we're the 2nd placed team with the highest number of points. I presume that means we go through?

Coritiba vs LA galaxy finished 3-2 so United are ahead of Coritiba on Goal difference. The threat from that group is gone.

Fluminense won 1-0 and go on 7 points so basically now if Aalborg win United are out. Any other result United are through.

Tigres dominated for most of the second half and hit the post twice too, but Aalborg won somehow playing on the counter with Tigres lacking cutting edge.

So we are out.

Btw, FUlham won the Dallas Cup final 5-1 against Kashiwa Reysol.

Seriously impressive.
