shame he never made it, thought hewould become at least a squad player for us. He just never seemed to develop his al-round game to be good enough for us.
Poor fella, I suppose the club feel's some responsibility in it (not that they should, but didn't we offer his dad a job and everything?), so want's to find him a good home...

He hasn't scored a league goal on any of his 3 loans, it's no wonder clubs aren't queuing up to buy him.
We were open to offers this summer but received none, it'd be terrible if we just released him from his contract. It's important that we look after our young players.

Probably, but 31 league appearances with no goal at QPR, Sampdoria and Stuttgart, and 1 goal in 40 appearances total.
Finally a decent loan where he will get some game time to show what he can do.

What the feck is going on, well in Macheda!feck sake, are all our youth guys scoring ridiculous number of goals.

OK so he does well at a lower league club, still has to prove himself in the PL yet, hopefully he will get his chance.
He's due a good loan spell and hopefully it will result in a good transfer for him and he can get his career back on track.
You're thinking of Petrucci, his dad was given a job as a groundsman.
I still maintain he'll forge a good career for himself at a decent club in a top league.

Not sure if Macheda's dad did as well but Petrucci's dad definitely did.
Should have gone on a loan like this after his breakthrough season. I think maybe his over confidence / arrogance held him back by insisting on loans to clubs that were only ever going to use him as a bit part player.
Was one of the best natural finishers i've seen at Reserve level. If you could put his finishing instincts on Welbeck or Welbeck's all round play on Macheda we'd have two brilliant players on our books.
