You deserve each other. I hope you reject all inflated bids. This is just too funny and believe me there will be more. The supporters won't mind him staying either.
Wet dream?I dreamt last night we signed Lovren.
I wouldn't mind.
Why couldn't you have dreamt about Thiago Silva or Varane or someone?I dreamt last night we signed Lovren.

Yeah, I think this World Cup will sway the voting quite a bit, much more then 2010.This being based on Messi's performance in the WC 4 years ago and winning it?
That really depends if someone pulls out a series of match winning performances in the knockout stage, if James scores a couple more goal like that one last night and Colombia wins the WC, it's possible.Yeah, I think this World Cup will sway the voting quite a bit, much more then 2010.
Yeah agreed. That really depends if someone pulls out a series of match winning performances in the knockout stage, if James scores a couple more goal like that one last night and Colombia wins the WC, it's possible.
Otherwise, it's Messi's if ARgentina win the WC (even if he doesn't do anything and Argentina draw every game 0-0 and wins the PK each time), or Ronaldo's if Argentina lose to Switzerland or Belgium.
If they lose in the SF or final, it'd be a close vote methinks.
I fully agree with this perspective. Fans of all teams generally care mostly about performance. I know Suarez's conduct is exceptional but I still think his value to the team is exceptional as well. Players as good as him are very rare. I believe he will be sold reluctantly. The whole "they should sell him because he's a liability/embarrassment" argument doesn't really fly unless you value being squeaky clean as an important requirement of supporting a club. He's a great player, and unless he does something so horrendous he's banned from football altogether, he's going to be playing - and scoring - for someone. Probably someone very good too, so I don't see why they should sell him for that reason. From a Liverpool fan POV, he might as well be scoring for Liverpool. Even if it means he's out for significant parts of most seasons. He's still better having occasionally than not at all from a purely football point of view.
If you could only have Messi for 10 games a season, you still probably would.
Interesting. No idea where I read 68m from but I'm sure I read it somewhere. Still, I think Barca can afford 80m considering that if their transfer ban kicks in next season, they'll definitely have the means to spend big this summer. Not sure if Sanchez will go your way though. The Echo and Times say it's around £80m and I'd trust them over reports in Spain.
except that the bans are going to get longer. Remember if he could control this, he would. Its a mental problem. Not even bringing up the image of the club. but we are talking about Liverpool...so that does not matter I suppose. The whole "they should sell him because he's a liability/embarrassment" argument doesn't really fly unless you value being squeaky clean as an important requirement of supporting a club. But as I said, if you could have a truly World Class player for only a half a season, you still would. As long as you can get some good cover, feck it.except that the bans are going to get longer. I know they're out and defenders never win, but Godin scored the goal against Italy to get them out of the groups, to go with the goal he scored that got Atletico 30 seconds from winning the CL and the goal he scored to win them La Liga and a season of absolutely brilliant defending. That really depends if someone pulls out a series of match winning performances in the knockout stage, if James scores a couple more goal like that one last night and Colombia wins the WC, it's possible.

They still have a back 5 of:As much as Lallana is decent if they sell Suarez and replace with Southampton players I will be delighted. Gerrard is major on the slide also. Plus they will need to pull something special out the bag to finish top 4 especially with their venture into champs league. Big transfer window for Liverpool ahead, are they building on Suarez or selling and trying to rebuild. Imagine if they had kept Suarez and bought Sanchez that would have been real progress for them. Hope its the latter and they sell him.
While I agree that morality, being squeaky clean and so on are probably overvalued by fans (and might not be so important for the people actually running the team), I don't think your last sentence holds up really. It doesn't make sense to me that you'd be willing to only have your best player for 1/5 of a season, a player you'd normally build your team around. It would disrupt the preparation, and requires you to have strong back-up for the other 4/5 of the season. Going for another option that might not be quite as good, but that would guarantee you a full season of solid performances (especially since we're apparently talking of Suarez being replaced by Sanchez, not exactly a shit player himself) is better in the long run, and more interesting for the manager I'd say.The whole "they should sell him because he's a liability/embarrassment" argument doesn't really fly unless you value being squeaky clean as an important requirement of supporting a club. Oh piss off, they can't do that AND get the Suarez t-shirts ready. Only have one pair of hands you know. Christ! Is Lallana a done deal yet?
That's not how this works. Why couldn't you have dreamt about Thiago Silva or Varane or someone?
