Doubt it's true....LVG went straight to him after the match and hugged him
Didn't see that, nice from LVG.

Hope Hernandez stays but I wouldn't be shocked if he does decide to go. He's good enough to be first choice for a lot of other CL level teams, bit of a waste if he spends all his time on the bench here.

He deserves a bigger role than we're probably going to give him.

Doubt it's true, surely he'd be concentrating on the WC too much to bother with anything like this at this point.

To me he is highly likely to be sold anyway as he is one the few expendable players that we can get a decent fee for, i'd put him at £12-£16 million.

He went by the name of Wayne Rooney

His, Nani's and Buttner's fees should easily cover best part of 30 million GBP.

If Studward can get £5-£7 million for Buttner then I expect him to at least get us £20 million for Hernandez.

If he leaves, then it's a real shame. Sure he didn't have a good time last season, but I think like he says, Moyes rarely put faith in him as much as Fergie did.

I'll be sad to see him go but it was always going to happen, his development has stalled for the lack of game time and for the sake of his career he really needs to leave if he wants to salvage it. After his World Cup in 2010 and subsequent form for Mexico it's pretty disastrous that he hasn't started in Brazil.

His chance of consistent first team football at United ended when we signed Van Persie. He probably should have left then.

Yes I'd agree with about £30 million for them all, they are all players that should sell quite well too, (obviously Buttner already gone), would be a nice wedge off the wage bill too.

Sadly Ashley Young, and Anderson could prove much, much harder to move on this Transfer window.

The fact he was on the bench for Mexico this World Cup has probably the point that's pushed him over the edge. If you think back to 4 years ago when he moved to United he was probably expecting to be the golden boy of Mexican football for atleast a ten year period.

I'm interested to see where he would go next, wouldn't be surprised if it was Spurs.

Spurs ruin every striker they get, I wouldn't go anywhere near there if I was him.

Go to Spain or Germany and score for fun Chich.

I don't think he's that far down the pecking order really. An injury to RVP or an out of form Rooney (both fairly likely at some point of the season) and he'd be right back in it.

If we reject his transfer request he will still play his heart out. If LvG has a role for him then I do expect him to convince Hernandez to stay, that said I can't see any role other than that of super sub assuming Louis plays a 4-2-1-3 however if he decides to go with two up top then I see a role for him.

Will always be a favourite of mine but nobody could begrudge him for wanting more chances. They're simply few and far between especially if Wilson gets more opportunities.

If he leaves I wish him all the best. Seems such a nice person and I hope he has a good career wherever he goes

Loved the guy under Fergie, but last season under Moyes he was shambles. Couldn't care less at times, which showed in his game as he would normally bury chances. Would always remember him, Nani & Berbatov is helping us secure #19, when Rooney was the poorest I've seen of him.

I think LVG will want to hang on to him, but not if he is set on leaving.

Welbeck threw his dummy out to get more game times. So it is not a bad move for Hernandez to hand in a transfer request. If it is rejected then the club will know they can't keep him just as a sub anymore. If it is accepted then he can look for a club offering a 1st team place.

Will always remain one of my favourites. Hope he stays but all the best for him if he leaves. If he does I hope he doesn't stay in England.

How is it a win to have him play over RVP?

I will be disappointed if he goes to another club and become a fringe player. If he leaves, it should be for a team that would offer him a starting role. I personally would love United to keep him as our second or third choice striker.

I thought it was clear my post was from the perspective of Hernandez.

Hernandez gets more game time at United = Win for him!

Hernandez gets sold and moves to a club offering 1st team football = Win for him!

I'm not sure why you mentioned RVP? that has absolutely nothing to do with my post :houllier:

If you are asking who I would play RVP or Hernandez then I would choose RVP. But again that is a different subject to the one I was discussing.

You said "If it is rejected then the club will know they can't keep him just as a sub anymore". To me on first viewing that looks like from the clubs point of view, If I misunderstood it, my bad.

I see people debating the money we should demand on the twitter thread, with him being linked to a move to Spurs for 18m. I actually think that would be OK money for him. I love him and wouldn't mind us hanging onto him but I don't see that many opportunities for him, especially if Rooney stays (which looks a non-issue, just wondered before whether he might actually be sold). LVG likes to get the most promising youngsters in and around the first team, if they grab their chances, they've got a huge career. Wilson is one of the best young player we've got. Hernandez might actually become 5th choice.

He could be sold for 18m with add on fees nearing 25m, that would make sense.

To be fair, I'm not fully versed on LVG, but just in the little I have read and seen to date he does seem to like players that are comfortable on the ball and able to maintain possession. This hasn't be one of Chica's forte's so I could see him potentially being moved.

Don't want to see him leave at all, such a great personality and lethal finisher. In the right system I do think Hernandez would bang in 20+ a season. Maybe not bang in, but tap in, either way they all count and that's what I love about the lad.

If Tottenham want him we shouldn't even take their call for anything under 25 million. For all the times Levy has fleeced us, we should return the favour to that prick. I would rather sell him abroad for less than sell him to Spurs for a fair price.

On a side note, I think AC Milan would be a good fit. If Balotelli leaves he'd be a good replacement and could probably beat out most of what they have currently on their books. Plus I don't think they have enough money to buy anyone better than Hernandez.

Ay, that wanker Levy can pay through the nose. We shouldn't accept anything less than £20 million from them, if possible.

I totally understand why he wants to leave.

I think I'd rather have him here as RVP's backup (fighting with Welbeck) and sell Rooney, as I doubt Rooney's physical longevity and he makes more and would likely attract a bigger transfer fee.

But if we're going to keep RVP, Rooney and Welbeck, I can't blame him for trying to leave. Atletico Madrid need a 9 once Costa goes. He'd fit in well there. Valencia have no striker and they have money now, and he'd score a fair few against La Liga CB's with Feghouli, Parejo, Bernat and whoever else they add creating behind him. Milan will need a 9 if Balotelli goes. Monaco will too if Falcao goes.

Would be pretty gutting to see Chich leave, would prefer to see Welbeck, Nani & Young all sold before him
