I'll offer this as an olive branch after watching the latest Ferguson documentary from BBC.

  • Those of us who are wary of Giggs becoming manager, obviously would still be delighted if he became manager and was successful.
  • It seems like people like myself are being painted like the sort of person who upon Giggs lifting a European trophy would be sitting cross-armed saying: '...f*** sake'. It would be wonderful, of course it would.
  • Giggs does come across a lot better in his bits in that recent Ferguson piece. Sounds a lot more like a manager than he ever has before and I have no problem admitting that.
I still think it would be a massive risk but I hope people stop painting us like we hate Giggs, Ferguson, 'Class of 92' or anything else like that. We don't - we're just being rational and it's usually a good thing.

I don't think anyone was painting you as hating Giggs, I certainly wasn't. On the flip side, those of us supporting Giggs candidacy are invariably being laughed at or accused of being 'delusional romantics'. Thats not right either. But thanks for the olive branch :).

There's nothing wrong about being romantic, which to a degree, quite intuitively involves a bit of delusion.
