Would have been more than 5m, and its possible Jose wouldn't have been able to take the job (gardening leave)
I would have still fired him. Sign an interim manager if needed. We could have made it to top 4 without this idiot

If these reports are confirmed, I want to thank LVG for his service to club, the FA cup (which could be a good new beginning for us) and wish him a good retirement.
That's the most classy post on here regarding LVG

Could not agree any more with you!

I know I'm in the minority here but this does all feel bittersweet.

I'm absolutely certain that he needed to go, there was simply too much discourse this season to ignore. However, I still like the bloke and I think the way Saturday unfolded has left a bad taste in my mouth. He's just won the FA Cup for us, for the first time in over a decade, and the immediate focus was "cheers, you can go now"...

I know it had to happen but, meh, it just feels a bit shitty.

Jose had better not feck things up (further).

In a minority, but would be sad to see Giggs leave. Probably the best for all of us, but would be weird to see Giggs going anywhere else.

I just don't know what to do with myself
How can you justify not releasing Giggs if he is part of a managerial team which has been deemed not good enough? So "Louis, you've not been up to scratch, you've got to go and take your coaching team with you - they're not good enough...but Ryan, you were brilliant, you're welcome to stay on!"....don't get that. Is he not as culpable as the rest?
Personally, I don't get the assumption he's done a bad job. As the assistant he is entrusted to certain duties presumably in preparation, analysis and man management but team selection and team set up are not up to him. Obviously Jose will want to have a say in who will be his no. 2 and if he doesn't want Giggs then fair enough but I don't get why so many caftards want to kick him out based on LVG failed tenure.
