Well that's just not true. It was a total embarrassment when it came out in 2011 for the club. So much that Ferguson had to ban a journalist for asking if Giggs would play. But people see what they want to see.And I never said it did. Just that it exists. Not in all cases but in some. Few cared about his private life before and everyone does for some reason.

Key word. Another thing we know nothing about.The board were never going to put him in charge full time with the club in the state its at. Moreover, wanting is one thing, but reportedly passing various managerial opportunities to hold out for the best job in England is another (e.g. IIRC he didn't want to put himself in the running for the Swansea job). That's where entitlement comes in.

I was/am agreeing with you, you were backing up my point more or less, that those who believe that article are those who for some weird anti-Giggs reason want to believe it - not you.? I don't think Giggs is a cnut, he is one of my favorite players of all time along with Cantona. My point was the the article is probably BS.
I would have imagined this is the way it actually went:-
LVG Sacked
United tell Giggs that Mourinho is going to be named manager and he can have a role in the club, maybe with the first team or something around development, basically we'll find something for you.
Giggs say i'll think about it and get back to you (Giggs spent a lot of time from LVG going and the rest of the staff leaving to when he made his announcement).
Giggs thinks and say thanks but no thanks I'm going to look for a manager's Job elsewhere.
United tell Mourinho Giggs is leaving.

As I recall, it was widely reported when the club hired LvG that the plan was for Giggs to take over as manager once Louis three year deal was complete. From that it's a simple deduction that the club fostered that belief.And how on earth could he believe that he could get the job despite having zero managerial experience whatsoever? He either felt entitled to it or he is incredibly stupid.
