About the same as Fellaini, if we're talking about the defending phase - Fellaini is usually caught out of position or doesn't even bother to track back.
Carrick lacks the energy to press the opposition like Fellaini does consistently, I'll give him that. It's not very effective though (although it's as much on him as it is on Mourinho, kamikadze-pressing rarely works if it's not a team tactic)
We might see it differently. He doesn't usually get caught out of position. Sometimes yes but imo he has been pretty good defensively recently. Hopefully he starts.

'On Fellaini he added: “Marouane says it is not a tear.

“He says from experience before when he had a tear, he says he doesn’t think it is. He says it’s just a bad feeling in the hamstring.

“Normally I am believing and trusting in Marouane’s feelings. He should be okay.”

He was quite bad. Poor passing at times and no control in midfield. Not helped by playing with Tuanzebe but as the senior member of the midfield he should be able to do more.

Not bad news if he's injured and misses the game.

Mourinho: "Need warriors, people should play through injury, everyone's a disgrace and coward"

Also Mourinho: "Fellaini is my personal hero and will always play no matter what"

To be fair, Carrick would drop back and play the deepest pivot/6 role, while Herrera would play a bit higher alongside Pogba, so the onus would be on Herrera rather than Carrick to do the high pressing. A 3 of Carrick, Pogba and Herrera would inspire more confidence than Fellaini, Herrera and Pogba, in my opinion.

He's so bad, it's unreal. Compare him to our midfield players in the past, and he's just so far away.

I hope he makes the bench for the final but not fit enough to start. He would be a decent option if we get desperate for a goal.

Once that game is done I hope is United career is over. Some very good games, lots of decent performances but far too many shit performances to warrant a future here.

In a time where most of our players can't manage more than two good games in a row, we need more consistency from our players and unfortunately Fellaini is near top of the list.

If he's out of the final will we play 433 or 4231? It'll either be Mata or Carrick in for him I guess.

Doing well.

Though we are playing Fellaini football, which isn't a good thing.

HELLO
Doing well without the ball and in the air.

He's a large part of why we struggle in possession though, and playing him behind Rashford limits us significantly.

Been poor so far, running around a lot but offers very little as most advanced midfield player. Mata, rashford and mikh all need to improve as well as our attacking play has been really poor.

Happy with him today but how does he somehow never win the ball in the air in the opponents box.
