I enjoyed the match, even though we lost. It was played with a bit more intensity and I actually thought we played alright. We have to remember Barcelona are on a different level to us currently.

Just watched the 1st half after missing it yesterday. Very happy with Rashford and Pogba. Blind probably played his worst since he was 9, he really hurt us and I am a fan.

First half we were gave them far too much respect. Valencia just couldn't handle Neymar's movement and Blind had a nightmare against Messi on and off the ball.

Sitting back so deep didn't help, it just played into their hands with their pass and movement.

2nd half we pressed much higher and far more aggressively, and that helped us. We turned it into a physical battle and we started to overpower them more, apart from the ref buying fouls every 10 seconds.

Yes OK Messi and Neymar weren't there, but Suarez hardly had a kick in the 2nd half.

What's worrying though is so much of our attacking play is reliant on the fullbacks being good. Fullback is our weakest position! Valencia can't pick people out from a cross, and Blind can't run passed anybody. When his passing goes wrong like it did today we really struggle.

Once we let the reigns off though and really went for it there were good signs. Shame we couldn't draw the game.

Didn't watch the game cos, you know, job. Still its a pre-season friendly. Why are so many people having a meltdown because we lost?

Also we lost to Barcelona. This isn't like back in the Moyes error when we lost to Thai all star XI!
Intentional typo or not, that was brilliant !

100% intentional. The Moyes error is the only way to describe that season. Fortunately it didn't last long enough to be called an era. If it had there would be nothing left of United besides the name.

Not sure what the fuss or surprise is about.

We played a team in which every opposition player is significantly better than ours, bar possibly the goal keeper, and looked shit compared.

What did anyone expect?
