What's the fecking point of MUTV if the U18 league matches aren't even televised live?

Glad I don't have it any more. Don't show the best group of kids we have had for a while, but make people watch the disaster that is the U-21's.

It's all a bit strange that they advertise on MUTV that we can watch the "stars of tomorrow", and then never show the games. I get that they can't show it when the games are played at the Cliff, but when the games are played in Carrington they really have no reason not to.

The pre match show for the senior game starts 2 hours before the match, may be that's the reason this match isn't live.

Second game in a row scoring 6. Who needs Gomes?

We should batter Sunderland at home next week, as well.

Levitt and Greenwood have been the breath of fresh air. Burkart's form also helped.

As I said before this season midfield selection will give McKenna some headache once they're all available.

Back to goal scoring form as we were doing last season. Burkart is looking good last few games

I stopped watching when it was 4-2, after Greenwood came off. Thought the game was over already, looks like i missed 2 goals.

Am really impressed with Greenwood. If he practise shooting more with that sweet left foot, we could have a player in the mould of RvP

Who plays as right winger for us now at this level? And as 10 while Gomes is out?

And at U23's who plays these positions?
Baars plays on the right wing for the U18s in this game. Greenwood was the number 10.

U23s had Boonen on the right wing and Buffonge number 10 in the last game (Gribbin and Dearnley are injured).

Thanks! How far away are they from being able to play for the first team? Compared to last night's level. Any chance we could see one of them for the Carabao Cup?

Good to see O'Connor playing right back and getting a couple of goals. He's good at centre back but has zero chance of playing there at senior level. He needs to develop the offensive side of his game as a right back.

Don't think we'll se any of them in the Carabao Cup. Boonen and Buffonge are good players but still some way ahead.

Walter Crickmer started it all...

His attacking qualities are already well developed...we just need to let him develop naturally and he will be fine.

I know Ethan Laird is one of the youngest, if not the youngest of this seasons intake for the 18s, but it seems strange that he's usually overlooked for the 18s often not even getting on the bench, yet he's a regular starter for Nicky Butt's u19 team in the UEFA Youth League.

Do the club feel he'll benefit more getting regular minutes with the 16s at the moment, or does Nicky rate him higher than Kieran McKenna ??

The only games he hasn't been involved in for the u18s have been the last 2 so I'd say it's more just a case of allowing him a bit of a rest having played the full game in a high intensity game for the u19s in midweek and not being that used to playing 90 minutes having just moved up from the u16s where the games are shorter.

Think the club wants to use Williams for the U18s and Laird for the U19s so that both will get minutes.

Thanks, just though maybe it was that although Ethan is nearly a year younger than Brandon he does seem better developed physically to cope with the rigors of the UEFA Youth League.

I've often wondered whilst watching the 18s live on MUTV why it was that the 16s matches always finished earlier, and presumed they'd just kicked-off earlier, so do they play only 40 minutes each way at that level as they do at various International youth tournaments like the The Victory Shield ?
