Angel Gomes and surprisingly Aidan Barlow are on England U17s 18-man squad for the Euro. First call-up for Barlow at any level.

Are you watching? I haven't been but Twitter seems to suggest that Sancho is bossing it again and Brewster has scored.

Did Barlow start?
Nah, going by twitter as well. Off the bench, England fielded an unchanged XI from the first win. Yeah it seems (not surprisingly) that Sancho has been superb.

O'Connor and Ireland had a mare today. Lost 7-0 to Germany, one of those an own goal from Lee but somehow still qualified for the next round thanks to Bosnia scoring a late goal in the other game.

They will almost certainly be playing England next round.

How the feck were they so poor?!

This is supposed to be a good group, so that's shocking.

Tbf to them Germany were a class above throughout, just completely played them off the park. They've got a number of exceptional talents all over the pitch.

Between them or France for me. England have ended up on the relatively easier side of the draw so should make it through to the final.

Yeah, very difficult for Ireland to compete with those 3 nations in terms of number of talents and professional coaches.

I know that's a mixed age squad but it looks very weird to me. Some are still playing U18s football and some like Konsa has played more than 30 times for his first team.

CBJ & Demi Mitchell called up to the Toulon Tournament.

Reece James also there. I thought he was out injured and hardly played this season (assuming it's the same Reece).

and what a name- Ronaldo Vieira. wow. Though I would go for Roy Vieira :)

Our old Reece James is 23. That would be Chelsea's Reece James I'd imagine.

Going off that Ronaldo's wiki, his first choice is to play for Portugal. His brother was also named after Romario.

Both Oliver Denham and Iestyn Hughes started for Wales U16s yesterday. Personally interest to see if Denham will be on the scholar list for next season's U18s.
