Gary Neville not happy with Pogba's attitude and his blue hair, saying he knows he loves football, but doesn't take it seriously enough or works hard enough.

Neville tears into Pogba ahead of kick-off
Paul Pogba’s decision to sport a blue hairstyle for today’s game has not gone down well with the former United defender...

“The problem with Pogba is he doesn’t help himself.

“I always think if you’re wise you don’t attract attention when things aren’t going your way.

    “Pogba doesn’t work like that.

“He’s got a big job to do, he’s got to be serious about football.

“Coming out here with blue hair today, win and it’s fine, lose and it will be talked about forever more by City and United fans.

    “It’s ridiculous.”

United team news rumour from the Etihad
There’s still not been a United leak but the rumour is Matic, Pogba and Lingard could be the midfield three. Mourinho hasn’t gone with that trio since the 3-1 win at Arsenal in December, a night United were captivating in attack and in danger of capitulating in defence. David de Gea had to make 13 saves and United were set up loosely until, ironically, they were reduced to 10 men following Pogba’s dismissal.

The possible use of Lingard as a midfield runner is advisable but it does fuel speculation as to who will start on the right flank. It’d probably be between Juan Mata and Marcus Rashford.
We started with that trio at Tottenham and it didn't go so good.

Expecting some sort of heel-turn from Pogba. City fans cheering his misplaced passes and lacklustre effort as they think Pep's got to him and he's dreaming of City, only for him to smash one from 30 yards in the 89th minute, doing a lap of the touchline doing the Hulk Hogan ear-cup gesture to a din of boos and whistles.

If not that, then a really boring 0-0 with both sides scared to lose, and an atmosphere reflected by Citys 3-0 CL drubbing and United's acknowledgement that this lot are going to win the league this week or next.

    Yeah, probably the latter.
On that note, you watching Wrestlemania tomorrow? ;)

:rolleyes:bad attitude because he spends an hour every month or so getting his hair dyed, yet at the same time was given a warning by the club for working too hard to get back to fitness when he was injured.

Neville's a fecking idiot. Nothing new there.

No idea why people defend him on here just because he played for us. He talks out of his arse.

Paul will need to use this as motivation to put a peformance in. In a way I cannot understand why anyone thinks he could play for City.

I'd been neutral about Jose until Sevilla. If he parks the bus today and hands a weakened City side a win with 70% possession and 15 shots to our 3, he can feck off. Alternatively, he can go some way to making up for that CL debacle by showing some bottle and ruinin their big day.
I have decided to give Jose the benefit of the doubt since his way of doing things won is the Europa League, League Cup...and just as importantly MASSIVELY IMPROVED OUR HOME RECORD. I think after the previous seasons it's a good enough start and combined with his overall career successes at clubs reason to not let a couple of bumps and mistakes rule opinions.

I'm not going to base my opinion of this season on how close to Liverpool, United decide to play . Nor am I going to linger on City's already decided title . But come the end of the season I want an FA Cup and 2nd place in the league. That is my current expectation

Think if he had dyed his hair red, nobody would say anything. The fact it is blue when we are playing a derby match against a team who play in blue shows a lack of awareness.

Nothing good can really come out of this match. They will win the league whether it's today or next week and in between they'll play our fiercest rivals for a Champions League semi final spot, that we got nowhere near.

Hopefully we can avoid it today, just for the away fans. We've been resigned to losing the league for ages.

Further rumours over De Bruyne's absence
It’s out there already but there are further suggestions that Kevin de Bruyne won’t be starting for City.

He ran the games in City’s last two wins at United but it seemed inevitable that one of he and Silva would get rested today.

It was red before it was blue mate, I really dont see why pundits and the press give a toss about his hair. Playing good or bad, its his hair. Couldn’t care less what it looks like as long as he isn’t styling it for the 90mins a week he’s on pitch!

fecking Neville, that's stupid. Stop jumping to a conclusion, when you don't know what Pogba's hair is for. What Pogba is doing with his life is none of our business. Pogba is not a fecking robot, he is in control of his own, how about you respect what he wants to do for himself, but not for yourself? You didn't call out a lot of people like Ronaldo and Griezmann, who have dyed their hair and getting a haircut but that means they are not really serious about footballing? fecking stop it.

If a City player had red in their hair for the derby, would we not all be mocking him?

Irrespective of when it was done.

Gary Neville once again showing how much of an imbecile he is. One must wonder if he even watches United games because he's had blue hair for a few weeks now.

I know that, but as he seems to redo his hair one way or another every week, would it have taken much to dye his hair another colour. Barca colours or Real Madrid white?
I'm quite glad he's not been focusing on getting his hair 'right' for this match.

With Liverpool dropping points, we have a bit of a cushion. Win is desirable but a draw is the minimum tonight.

Surely it's ~80% likely City will win?

Not expecting a great deal today to be honest. I'll be pleasantly surprised if we give them a competitive match.

Which is a little depressing to think about. We're 2nd. We have a very good squad. If we are resigned to hoping for not a hammering... it doesnt reflect well on the manager. So he has to show he can do something here. It might seem like an inconsequential game, but it should be important for Mourinho.
