We will not sell DDG to Madrid unless he requests a transfer openly. Woodie and Mourinho are not in the business of doing any favors for Florentino Perez.

I love the guy but at this point i feel bad for him - had he gone to Madrid he'd probably have won 3 UCLs. I actually wont mind if he left because i just want him to win things

I honestly don't understand posts like this. Without him I doubt we'd have won a League Cup, FA Cup, Europa League or be 2nd in the League this season.

I wouldn't be so sure, he's signed a number of contracts in the past few years when we expected him to leave and where the ball was firmly in his court. Surely any agent worth their salt would have clauses inserted into the contract for if the team is underperforming or if certain clubs come calling for him.

Having said that, its very clear he is happy here, I don't think anyone would have begrudged him leaving as early as the Moyes season yet 5 years on he's still here. When he shared the photo of himself wearing the captains armband with the simple caption "#proud" its clear that its more than money for him.

As much as I wouldn't blame him for leaving as he's given us a pretty big part of his career, although we're not exactly in that much of a mess these days compared to previous seasons, people who feel sorry for him and sort of want him to go so he can win things are odd. Are you a Utd fan or a De Gee fan?

Make him the highest paid at the club. He’s saved us time & again and contributes about 12-15 points/season with his saves. Can’t afford to lose him.

Don't know why anyone would want him to go but I do feel a bit for him. It must be in the back of his head that he's the best in the world and not in as good a team as he could be. Hopefully he stays and we deliver.

He won't go, we think he's irreplacable but he isn't... he can feck off if he wants... United will remain the same.

100% agree with this. He is our most important player. We would probably be 4th or lower without him this season. He would be impossible to replace.

I hardly think playing for United is worthy of pity. TBH, if he leaves United then whether he wins stuff or not is of no major concern to me.

What a ridiculous post. You rather he left the club you support so he can win things?

I won't at all begrudge him if he pushes to leave, but I can't say it's because "I want him to win things". I mean, I do, but only in a United shirt. Once he's gone, then I don't give a stuff what he wins or doesn't win. I don't see why any United fan would care about that, or feel any sort of sympathy.

I can't see De Gea running his contract down to get there either. He could have done that last time, he could have waited 9 months and gone for nothing, but he actively chose not to. Why would he do it now? I honestly don't think Madrid want him that badly anyway. They had all summer to get him the first time, and they put in a lowball bid on deadline day and then bailed on it. They've not really come knocking since. They know now it will take an enormous fee to get him, and they have bigger issues to solve in the next year or two. Maybe that pissed DDG off too. Who knows.

They have to cough up crazy money, or bank on Courtois. The latter seems more likely, no matter how many supposed clangers Navas drops.

WTF? Sounds like you support DDG more than you support Man Utd!

Agree completely. These posts for whatever player, not just Dave, are shambolic to see from United fans. I only care about Dave's career here.

If De Gea wants more trophies and wants to go to Real, I ll not curse him for it. Real need to pay a record breaking amount though.
Hope he will be happy to stay

If only he had a douchebag agent like Raiola. He'd have been there 5 years ago.

Is his agent Jorge Mendes?
Yes, same as Jose, same as many Wolves players now, same as Cristiano.

He wont go anywhere i think. He had his chances before but that was long gone.

If his agent is Raiola, he wont be at United in first place. Fergie absolutely hate Raiola.

Absolutely. If there is anyone that deserves it, its De Gea .

We could also do with a series of great defensive displays the remainder of the season so he gets that Golden Glove finally.

Give him what he wants. He's vital to future success. Great goalkeepers improve the performance of the rest of the defence.

Hope he goes. Ridiculous keeper who always made silly mistakes. The defenders have no confidence in him. There is zero leadership from the keeper or defenders.

Crazy really..

No way in hell I want him to leave, I want him here for the next decade at least.
That said I would understand him quite well if he were to leave us, he belongs winning top notch trophies every year as he is the best keeper on the planet.
But in no way I want him to leave. Winning the FA CUP and finishing second with around 90 points points to us heading in the right direction and with him on the way to pick up the golden glove I truly hope we get his contract signed for the next 5-6 years.

believer that Sancho will turn it around
I've felt pretty confident he would stay. Thought his comments about players needing to do better consistently next season and about the manager being top notch earlier in the week basically confirmed he'll stay.
