With muppet season being fully on and transfer window open - let's try to guess which player will go for a highest fee this summer.

Milinkovic-Savic to United?
Neymar to Real?
Griezmann to Barcelona?
Someone (anyone who shines in the World Cup?) to City/PSG?

Who in your opinion will be the most expensive of them all?

I dont think any of those moves will happen nor do I think they'll be any transfers over £65m

Last year there were quite a few transfers above 65m (Mbappe, Neymar, Dembele, Lukaku, maybe someone else I forgot), I would be quite surprised if not a single transfer of this magnitude happened this summer.

If its happening: Neymar.

More likely is Bale or Griezmann.

Bale loves it at Madrid and will fancy his chances again now that Zidane is gone, he is going nowhere
Griezmann is doing the will-he-won't-he for the umpteenth time this summer and I honestly don't care anymore if he moves or not
Milinkovic is too expensive, outside chance at 120m to United/Real but I don't think so
PSG are your usual big spenders, but can't because of FFP

Lewandowski is certainly possible because his agent has openly said he wants to move and he would command a big fee. The problem is there are no suitors with Madrid having no interest again and no one knows what is going on at Chelsea at the moment

Morata will move to Italy, probably Juve on loan plus obligation to buy at 50m

I reckon Timo Werner will shine big at the World Cup, he will be the obvious candidate for a post-WC move like James was but dunno if he wants to move yet

Fekir for 60m to the Scousers is bound to happen

Lemar is another one who could have a great WC and suitors lining up everywhere, he could go for 90m

Maybe some big gk transfers like Courtois and Alisson, although I can't see anyone paying north of 80m on goalies

My best bets:

1. Lemar for 90m to Barca/Real
2. Alisson for 80m to Liverpool
3. Courtois for 70m to Real

The most interesting development could be the Center Forward position at Madrid. Now that Zidane is gone, Benzema's position is under threat and I could see them buying Icardi for 100m under a coach who fancies the italian league

Wild card guess: Pogba to move for 100m

The Milinkovic-Savic to United rumours don't make sense to me. Do we really need another midfielder who likes to hang out on the left side? Not sure how that would work with Pogba in the team...

Seeing as Mbappe's transfer only goes through this summer it'll take something massive to beat it.

Neymar to Madrid seems about the only alternative to me.
Unless Real decide they want Salah

Agree. We would only be getting him to replace Pogba.

I reckon Madrid will smash this repeatedly this year. Just not sure on who. I fancy a Tottenham player or two (Erikson & Alli) and possibly Neymar. Maybe Salah there too. They've spent very little in the last few years and Zidane pointed at a re-build being required when he quit. Nobody does a rebuild quite like them feckers.

I'm going to guess something like Icardi or Higuain to Chelsea.

Or Griezmann to United, as I'm all in on that Reddit thread and stupidly, for some reason, believe it.

Erikkson to Barca 90m yoyos
Eriksen is a very good intelligent player....but took quite a long time to settle at SPurs. I think he would be better off staying tbh, could see him flopping and ending up on the bench a lot if he made a huge move to a club like Barcelona.

Madrid are due some heavy spending, been years since they splashed the cash.

Don't think the sheiks will accept selling Neymar, but they might push for Dybala, Hazard, Salah or Erikssen instead.

With the way project Chelsea is going I reckon Hazard will be up for a change of scenery.

Don't think anyone will break the £100m this year (ignoring the contractual shite for Mbappe).

Griezmann to Barcelona or United (if the Reddit ITK is correct) for £90m

And maybe Savic to United for £90m.

Savic is a central player, and often plays behind the striker. He is a target man midfielder, a bit like Fellaini except far superior with the ball.

If it's for Manchester United only, then i'll say Savic but if it's overall, i will say Ronaldo.

Hazard is going.
I can't imagine him staying another season with no CL.
I think he fancies Real.
The question is I'd Real want him or Neymar better.

I know what position he plays, but if you watch him he likes to drift to the left, just like Pogba does...
No top midfielder needs to be on a specific side of the pitch, they are comfortable on both due to their game intelligence of which Pogba and Savic have plenty. This idea of 'left of a midfield 3' is fan fiction, it doesn't exist in football. No.8s are not restricted to one side of the pitch, they must cover for each other on both sides of the pitch.

Griezmann will surely go and he's around £90m

I wouldn't be surprised if we signed Bale and he'd probably brake the 100m mark.

In a 4-3-3 you do have a left and right centre midfielder (along with a DM/holding midfielder). Sure, you can go to the other side to support, but for the most part that is in fact your position and both Pogba and Savic like to go to the left
