thought the 1st half we didnt compete properly and let liverpool attack too much. 2nd half we looked pretty good and should have scored before the penalty when we had a 4 on 2 attack. To be fair it looked like the shot hit the keepers head rather than it being saved though.

Garner was excellent in the second half.

By no means the worst challenge today though, it wasn't particularly dangerous, just stupid.
The one on Ramazani was the worst but Brandon Williams tackle was a straight red one - you can't jump into tackles like that.

It's a bit strange. He was regarded as a great midfield prospect and in his first year we played him out wide, and now he's at RB.
He's generally not as influential as Garner, Levitt or Traore when play CM so understandable really. Been saying since last year that we have too many good CM options in this group that it's a bit wasteful (those 4 + Galbraith).

To play Laird as CB is strange too.
Mengi is injured & Bejger hasn't got clearance yet so he's the best option at the moment & has some experience of playing there for United at younger age levels & for England's u17s

Don't understand why people are making a big deal out of Puigmal playing RB. He played there quite a bit for Espanyol & with Mengi injured & Bejger & Devine waiting on clearance there aren't many better options so I don't see how it's any harm playing him there.

When do you think the earliest we can expect to see Bejger and Devine will be?

Who knows with the way clearance has been in the past few years, it could be this week or it could be 2 months. The system seems to be a random mess.

No one said there is any harm for him to be playing there. I just hope he still gets to play in the middle from time to time as opposed to playing there at RB full time for the season. And this sentiment comes from what I saw last season as obviously this season only just started. Hell, Koke plays out wide as a midfielder. Pereira played out wide in La Liga last season. Pogba played out wide when Gibson played for the reserves in 2011. There's no problem with him being out wide. I only wish that he does get minutes in the middle from time to time.

Love watching the 18's last year, and this season won't be any different.....why can't the first team play with the same freedom...
That's what a good DoF would bring to the club, play with a system at all levels.

Beautiful game to watch. Greenwood was dominant in duels, some beautiful passing from hold-up play and couple of great runs on the right side when game was nearing the end.

And yeah, Liverpool has a guy called Dixon-Bonner.
