Looking forward to seeing what he can bring moving forward with Shaw on the left today. He can't do much worse than Alexis has these last few months

So unidemensional. One run and one shot every time.

He's not going to make it at this level with this one dimensional style of play. Will be great for tier 2 team so far.

Everytime I see him play he seems so uninterested. Like he doesn't really give a feck at all. Just walking around and sulking.

He was shite. I think i defend him so much because he was the one positive thing about LVGs reign along with Rashford but it's hard to defend him after showings like that.

That throw out from Dave to him when he gave a free kick away summed up Anthony martial for me , I don't care who the manager is but Fellaini who is the most hated United player came on and at least showed some fight while this guy is permanently I don't give a feck mode

So why is Woodward not letting him go?

Poor performance but still looked more dangerous than Sanchez in the last match.

There's no defending it, and Martial was my favorite player during the LVG era. It's incredible how disengaged he is since Mourinho has taken over. It can be forgiven when he makes an impact with a goal or an assist, especially since the rest of the team is so inconsistent as well, but when he doesn't do that and stays so static it's impossible to defend his case. I still believe he'd be much better under a different coaching with a different set of instructions because he's shown that with LVG but at the moment he looks like he will never change under Mourinho.

Kind of like the anti-Martial brigade that went missing once he took over the starting spot and was stringing player of the months. Somehow they popped back from their vacation once Sanchez took over and Martial lost his place.

Ronaldo used to be criticized for being a one-trick pony when he first came through, but Martial takes the cake.

I've said it for three seasons now, but how can a striker be so poor at movement that he doesn't even try to make runs in behind.

I know today's probably the wrong day for this but players who feel supported will run through brick walls for managers. Fellaini gave away a penalty with his first touch to cost us 2 points against Everton 2 years ago and Jose came straight out and defended him.

Martial has never had that level of support from Jose.

Then it turns into a cycle. He won't ever earn that support because he doesn't feel supported. So on and so forth.

People support Martial because they've seen players like KDB, Lukaku and Salah flourish after Jose.

But let's call a spade a spade today. He was terrible. He wasn't our worst player but he was terrible.

The entire team was absolute shite. Every single one of them. Your insinuation that people should be showing up to defend just one of 14 awful performances just because he’s been a controversial player of late is well wide of the mark.

He was awful today. Clearly doesn't give a feck about playing for Mourinho.

Still, the same could be said for quite a few of them.

well that's bullshite and you know it. Sanchez dogs ran more in their backyard today than Martial did in 60 minutes. Fecking disgrace of a player

See we're back to scapegoating that one player we don't like for awful teamwide performances. I'll be in the Young thread then

Sanchez was way more dangerous. Somehow every poor Martial performance is followed by a "but still better than Sanchez / Rashford / Lingard"...
He wasn't mate.

Since he joined us his modus operandi has been losing the ball constantly and then banging his fist on the floor and holding his arms outstretched as if to blame everyone else.

Does not fecking give a shit. At all.
I'm sure he does give a shit. Just had a bad game. I only saw up until 3-1 and he wasn't that bad up until that point, guess it went off the rails after huh?

I mean still probably produced the only decent moment of the game when he binned 2 and the 3rd blocked the shot.

Oh my, that was poor. But I do think he'll thrive under a new manager.

Respect your opinion but I don't agree mate. Sanchez had a horrid first half but in the second he was getting the ball both in and into a lot of dangerous positions, it was his timing / execution that was a bit off, but nevertheless the ideas were clearly there. Martial did nothing today apart from a run into the box.

I think the criticism of Sanchez on here has been very harsh. He hasn't been good but he's still clearly a creative player who tries very hard, sees passes that our other players don't and sometimes does things that other players can't. Martial has his strengths over Sanchez and may indeed have a higher ceiling but I feel his (recent) performances have been very overrated on here.

Graeme Le Saux was joking about how static he was on NBC. Sadly, the joke was spot on.

He is given so many chances and squandered all of them. If he's a 'world-class' player then so is my nan. Complete fraud.
