They are technically pretty good individually but their lack of fluidity going forward reminds me of the senior 11 team.
The U-18 is definitely the most attractive team or most pleasing on the eye.

From United he went to West Ham and then up to Boro but according to Wikipedia, he's on-loan to Sunderland? Or maybe they sent him back.
He was loaned to Sunderland for the second half of last season. I'm not sure how any of that would make him regret leaving us. He'd have never been anywhere near our first team. He has 16 PL appearances and 36 Championship appearances and even a goal at Old Trafford since leaving, he'd have none of that here.

I think we would have had more patience with his development.

More patience by never playing him? It's simple. We don't want him, he'd never get a game here. He has gotten regular chances at first team level since leaving. There is absolutely nothing to regret. He was 20 and our backup ST for the u23s.

If I remember correctly, we offered him a contract and wanted him to stay.

Thought Gomes was too passive for the first 30 minutes, and the remaining 60 minutes were great. He just needs to get on the ball a lot and his class, although subtle in influencing the game, is only a positive.

If I were Barlow or Buffonge I'd want to go on loan. What are you learning not playing for Ricky Sbragia?
