Well he's improved. Has he done that slide tackle again? Good thing about Lindelof is that he has hardly made the same mistake twice since joining. He is learning, he is improving.
But he's finding new mistakes to make every week.

He is fecking shocking, lets stop pussy footing around and call him what he is. He is the anti-thesis of a CB. Anything you expect from a top class CB, Lindelöf lacks.

Imagine him 'holding the fort' against City or Liverpool. They'd literally eat him alive. He's not good enough and was a shocking purchase. Terrible CB.

Stick Bailly back in. He's a liability but at least he can stand up for himself and give it some. That is the very least I expect from a CB at this level. (FYI - Used to be a GK to a fairly high level. I know a good CB when I see one)>
That's just in your imagination. You imagine what you want to imagine. The funny thing is we've actually seen Bailly against those teams and he did everything but 'hold the fort'. He was absolutely terrible twice against City, got schooled alongside a broken toed Smalling against Chelsea when we lost 4-0 and left Morata with a free header when we lost 1-0. The only big game where he even remotely played well? He scored an own goal against Liverpool.
Lindelof in constrast has played against Chelsea and Arsenal, games where we won. Until he's exposed in a big game like Bailly has been countless times, it's all in your imagination.

I agree. There are lots of things to complain about, but now it is getting ridiculous with people making up stuff and backing them with arguments such as “I was a gk and know it when I see it” or “my dad thinks Fellaini is a better CB”.

And if we talk about the most important matches of last season, Lindelof was totally fine against Seville while Bailly was the main reason for losing the return game.

His last match was not great but he was not the reason why United lost two points.

Thank feck for Smalling holding his hand most of the time. Bailly has done it too when they've paired up together. Lindelof is not good enough for United and it seems supporters have forgotten the high standards required to be a starter at this club. We're mediocre anyway so he slots right in I guess.

Today we had two "proper" physical centre backs. Would you say the match was a step forward performancewise defensively?

How can he be blamed that goal was an insane deflection, not his fault. Question should be why was Mourinho playing McTominay at the back and left him on the pitch only to take off Lindelof, because Mourinho is a petty arsehole who only wanted to keep on his favourite players.

To be fair, I don't think many are blaming him for the goal. I think more people are just fed up that he's a bit naff.

I'm by no means a fan of Lindelöf, but the deflection goal is just unlucky - nothing he could do about it. Lindelöf was tracking his player and just got hit by the ball. Nothing to blame.

I have no idea why Mourinho took him off to keep McTomminay on when switching to a back four...

Hopefully the next manager won't give him any chance. Feck him off in summer.

I could name at least 6 players who could do a better job as CB at the time we were buying him. What the actually feck, never saw a CB being so silently dominant like him, he should never get a transfer like that, everything is wrong about him, don't really udnerstand why Mourinho wanted him in the first place, he's nothing a like a player he prefers. From Rio ferdinand and Vidic to Lindelof and McTominay:houllier:

Not a fan but the goal was unlucky.
The first one wasn't - that was just another piece of crap defending. He is arguably the worst player I have seen at United for a long time. I am not counting players who played 1-2-3 matches never to be seen again - but a player fighting for a Place in the starting elleven. He is really hopeless.

A truly terrible player.

As bad as any we've ever bought in my time watching United.

He is a passenger, if the others around him are doing their job well he can be carried and look ok. If they are slightly off and he needs to step up, take some responsibility and lift their level he can't do it. The Darmian of Cb's.

Absolutely hate him as a player. Give me Jones or Rojo every day of the week over this fraud.

Completely shite CB. Wouldn't get into West Ham's starting 11 - allow that to sink in, ALLOW THAT TO SINK IN.

WHU would not use him. They are a nothing club and they have two CB's way better than him and some of our other options - that's just scandalous.

Would love to never see Lindelöf start another game and sell him for around £20m next summer. Bin him off, some transfers simply dont work out.

He wouldnt start for a PL team if he left us today. He adds zero value to the team. It's like playing with 10 man

He's not suited for the PL at all. Too weak and slow. I watched the Chelsea vs Liverpool game and all 4 centre backs who played are miles better. VVD, Gomez, Luiz, Rudiger.

How did we go from a Swede with immense aura and personality to this featherweight? Absolute coward.

Every team we play against has at least one centre back clearly better than him (and all our centre backs except Smalling). It's baffling how our scouting process got him here.

Terrible signing. Didn't make sense then and still don't.

Not for the PL, I can't see him developing in to a good PL defender either. Some transfers just don't work out.
