He was and? It doesn’t have to mean it was attitude problem.

I didn't mention attitude. You said it was made a bigger deal than it was, that the player just had a baby and it was nothing. Actually he was fined so it was something.

Well go and follow back the actual reply history with @sincher , he mentioned attitude on which i jumped the gun and said there was nothing from Mourinho referring to the time he was actually dropped back in February. Then he brought up the incident from August, on which you and I continued to debate. And yes I think it was made a bigger deal then it actually was, Jose said that he wanted to bring on Martial against Leicester if I'm not mistaken? The fining incident obviously wasn't as serious as the media tried to paint it.

I think he's looked good so far this season, well over the last month or so. Was worried after seeing him in pre-season that he'd given up but looks like there's some fight left in him, been our best attacker when he's started (though admittedly against lesser opposition). We'd be missing a trick if we didn't give him the chance to start in the League soon IMO, only attacker who looks up for it at the moment. Sanchez can't be far off being out of the starting 11, even Mourinho will reach a limit with him eventually.

Gut feel says, he'll start and give in a MOTM performance.

He has a good record against West Ham doesn't he? Either them or West Brom. Fingers crossed anyway.

Sure it’s West Ham seem to recall a game against them with Zlatan where Martial ran riot and could have easily had a hatrick if it wasn’t for some poor passing from the big man. Recent games he’s looked up for it and if West Ham are silly enough to leave him space can see him causing a few issues.

Just had a quick look: 5 appearances 6 goals and 3 assists against West Ham, not bad at all, we'd be mad not to start him.

Has to start today. I thought he was ok when he came on against Wolves and tried to make thing happen, and he was our best player against Derby. Those two appearances were better than anything Alexis has done so far this season, so it would be disappointing if he started instead of Martial on the left.

He was also pretty good against Young Boys too, he's had a few solid games so far. Nothing spectacular but I'd say he's done enough to get at least one chance.

The last two seasons have put doubts in people's mind about how good he really is but we should remember how exceptional he was for a 19yo in his first season here.

I still have 100% faith that a Sterling like return to form is on the cards for him. Whether that happens here or somewhere else is another matter.

Let’s hope we see a motivated Martial. If not we won’t see him again for a few months

Hope it gives him a boost to work hard. Sanchez has been dropped for him.

Deserved to start but absolutely cannot be trusted. He got his 10-15 dribbles in today and the dice came up snake eyes. Have absolutely no idea what you can do with him, as an all-round player he makes absolutely no sense when squeezing him into a functioning lineup.

It's probably not worth analyzing any of the players' performances at the moment. Most of them don't seem to give a feck.

Yes he was crap today but that dribble was still probably our best moment apart from the goal. We need to see him under a different manager before binning him off.

Not good enough as a winger, not good enough in a duo on top. Consistent, poor deliveries. Cut our losses, move him on already.

He wasn't even bad, wth. He shouldn't have been subbed in the first place given he provided threat.

We lost all momentum with the double sub of him and Pogba. We were easily on the rise then Mourinho made his bizzare subs.

For three years he has shown that he has no mentality to make it at top level.

It's not technical problem with him, but question whether he gives a feck most of the time.

You cant blame any of our attack today - not Lukaku, not martial - because we played a CM of Fellaini, Matic & Pogba; when already playing 3 at the back. Absoultely ridiculous.

No ball playing ability under gravity and no AM to link them to the forwards. Poor tactics once again.

Was fine under LVG - No player with even half talent should be allowed to go under Jose. They can wait until the next manager makes a decision.

Not bad, not good. Slightly better than Lukaku. Probably enough to win an online poll for bestest player of the month.

I'm including this season's performances(albeit small sample). He doesn't seem to be arsed.

Come on, mate. We've seen plenty of flair players do pretty well under Jose. That's just another excuse for him right now.

Why do you think our next manager will suit Martial's style? Anyone who will come on board would most likely expect some work rate from him.

Jose is a twat. We’ve seen it all before everything he does is so transparent

He's absolutely shite.

One good dribble and fans on here getting excited. Shows how far we've sunk.

Arnautovic was twice the player he was and is. Martial can't hold up the ball, his first touch is heavy, no aggression, no movement, one trick pony finishes and crosses.

How many of the players do you believe to be arsed?

And if we're assessing people over limited timeframes, how many flair players have done well for Mourinho since he went back to Chelsea? I can only think of one, and even he ended up downing tools.

Mourinho, "Look for how many months are people asking for Martial, Martial, Martial and saying how Alexis isn't play well enough. This week it was time to agree and leave Alexis out."
Get the feck out of our club Mourinho. He's such a fecking cnut, throws everyone under the bus right away. If you don't want to play him, don't play him. feck off.

Tactics- I dont think Martial is Lazy; if you do then that is fine. However - if a player is put in a position of a team that enables to get the best out of him for a full season in their attacking position - then i expect their defensive game to improve also.

Jose wants defensive ability prior to attacking ability. Someone who is placed to do defensive work- hinders their attacking positioning. It is not the same the other way around.

I could see Martial being a much better high presser off the ball than someone who drops off and marks someone - its better suited to his style of play & thats the main problem - Jose is to forceful to his own style of play rather than adapting his game to the players at his disposal.
