That was a joy to watch... An attacking United team.

They looked really good today. Was very impressed by the entire team especially Laird (the RB?) He was excellent going forward and defended so well.

Very good team performance! 9.5/10 :)

I feel more happy seeing this lot than the actual first team right now. This is how our team should play.

I have no enthusiasm to see our first team show absolute negative dross after watching this game. :(

They should just show these and the women and life will be good.

Of course it wont happen - but there are many players in that team who realistically could be first-team regulars. Greenwood is out of this World, Garner, Chong, O'Connor, Gomes...many...

Amazing that some people don't see this. Even the U-23's are slightly better. The only team that is terrible is the first team.
Give over, the u23s are only doing any good because the team is miles more talented than their opposition and even then Sbragia is doing his best to have them play horribly.

If you're going to have a go at Mourinho's style of play Sbragia is even worse while also setting up a shambles defensively.

That's despite the manager, not because of him. The U23s just has way too much talent to be struggling at the moment but we're still not playing good stuff.

But he's built like a frigging tank
Yeah he is, he's got so much to his game, he mixes his physical and technical ability so well. I think he's nailed on to play for the first team someday.

Watching these boys yesterday gives me great hope for the future! Particular mention to Gomes yesterday who totally dictated the pace of the game (Scholes esq) His control and vision was superb! Oh how our first team could to with such a technical centre mid!!

And Greenwood... I have never been more certain a player will make it as I am with him... world class at his age group!

This is why I want McKenna to be given a chance, we have some good talent coming through, and we need someone that can nurture these talents.

Someone like that who trusts youth would be excellent in the future, this is the best I've seen our academy in years. Full to the brim with gifted players, we've got a very good talent in nearly every position at U18 level. I'd be shocked if at least a few from this batch didn't end up playing for the first team eventually.

Yup, at least I would be happy to be patient as long as there is something cohesive being built. Right now, the club is paying a fortune for average past it players who are stinking up the place.
