U cant rely on Bale, too much of a sick note. Dont get me wrong when fit and in form one of the most exciting players on the planet.

Think he was always getting the sack after today.
Real won't have wanted the new man to start with a loss to Barca.

Don't support a team
Lots of people, myself included, said that Real were very lucky to win the CL last season, while also having a dreadful league season. People who said that were accused of sour grapes. But they're not a good side. They weren't a good side last season. And now everyone is a year older in what was already an ageing team, and they've sold arguably their best player, and replaced him with no-one. And literally all of their key outfield players are past their best.

Real don't just need to get ready for a terrible season, they need to get ready for Barcelona winning the next 4 or 5 La Liga titles.

Has not much to do with Ronaldo, you cant be successful with the same squad for years and years and an average club manager.
Obviously a stale squad poses the risk of a collapse in motivation, aging legs etc. But we've absolutely no way of quantifying how big an impact it had vs Ronaldo leaving. A goal a game goes a long way.

Don't think Wenger has a chance?
Perez won't risk it. Would go for someone who's won things recently.

Makes sense as well, Conte can organize the defense well and handle big egos like Ramos. He's a more refined version of Mourinho now, which is what they need. Feck attractive playing style in the light of the 5-1.

Fair points. It does seem likely.

Their form has a lot to do with Zidane leaving rather than Ronaldo. Of course, both of them leaving at the same time is compounding the problem for Real. But, a manager's job is underrated in modern football.

Most of these players are Champions League quality players. A good manager easily gets them to a competitive frame of mind against their rivals Barça. Ergo, Lopetegui is getting sacked soon.

Lopetegui has a smaller chance of keeping his job than than a pilot that’s just been caught drunk in the cockpit.

Literally no-one but Conte. Perez won't wait for Ed to pull his finger out and sack Jose.
I do not think conte is ideal to take over mid season and I think he still has to solve the legal issues with Chelsea. I think they will appoint castilla's manager or Raul maybe

You can do a good job with their squad and an average manager, and I'm not taking a blow at Zidane here. These players are enough to win 9 games out of 10 in their sleep.
They really aren't though. How many times do they need to play like crap before stopping getting rated as the best in the world in their positions? I've been saying it for years, an incredible amount of fans and media outlets have been massively overhyping Madrid's squad to undermine Ronaldo's importance to the team and to what they achieved.

Lopetegui is going to go and they're going to inevitably do better than this, but there's no way they go back to being as good as they used to be. They aren't winning the Champions League or the league this season no matter who they get. They simply don't have enough quality for it.

Does Conte always play with 3 in the back or has tried other systems successfully?

Pretty much always plays with 3 at the back. You don't have enough centrebacks to play 3 at the back though so I guess he'll have to try something different if he gets the job.

Not sure you should be convinced he'll be the one getting it though. As of now, Guti seems more likely to me.

I think he was more successfull with that system at Juve, Italy or Chelsea, but I remember when he arrived at Chelsea starting with a back 4. Not very succesfull must be said. It will be hilarious watching Ramos, Varane and Nacho and him freaking out with Ramos brainfarts.

4 defeats and 1 draw in their last 5 league games. That has to be their worst run in ages? Not even United has been that bad!

Hopefully but I think the club wants an iron fist. Not sure that Florentino wants to take that risk. The press also talk about Roberto Martínez

Conte regularly played a 4-3-1-2 at Juve with a midfield of Pogba, Pirlo and Vidal

I don't really agree, even in games without Ronaldo they were able to play great, it's just that Modric is getting older (with a extremely tiring world cup), some other player are bored and weary and they don't have the same drive they used to.
