Couple of nice calm moments on the ball which was good to see given how badly his last performance went.

Alexis 6.5
Andreas 6.0
McTominay 6.1

Not really. He came on for 15 minutes when we had decided we were going to see the game out. He joined in and did his part. Same for Sanchez. So yeah, it was a positive appearance. And McTominay came on in injury time, using his rating to make a point is daft.

Exactly my point, he was merely a passenger in a game that was decided by that point, all he had to do was to not screw it up major time, and he didn’t.

But that’s about it, now people praising him for not fecking it up...thats another thing

feckin hell this thread lately.

I mean ok there was probably a lot of undue hype at that start of the season due to his performances in the friendlies. Alright. But now it's like people want him to fail for shits and giggles and any minor praise is laughed off or scrutinised. Get a grip.

Hmmm...

Good by Solskjaer to bring him on higher up the pitch today.
Didn’t do anything but good to see him get another chance.
He did ok, I guess ?

High praise indeed. This one was particularly over the top:

Nice cameo from him today
Come on...

I see him fail his press and get by passed easily , at some moment he didn't stick his leg and let the ball roll over. No wonder he was our lowest rated player despite only came for the last 15 minutes.

If Ole does not rate Fred, which it looks like the case, then we better hope Pereira makes something out of the chances he get. Otherwise we are fecked.

He did good, kept it simple and ran around bothering Chelsea players. Pleased to see Ole keeping him on the bench and giving him opportunities after that mare against Burnley.

Being trusted last night should have done a great deal to build his confidence back up after his last performance. Happy to see him placed further forward, too.

It was a difficult game to come into, Sanchez did incredibly well to adapt to the tone of the game almost instantly, Andreas took a little bit longer but didn't do much wrong.

I actually thought he was quite average, pretty much every pass he attempted was intercepted.

Looks like that Burnley game has scarred him for life. So timid on the ball.

Looked okay

A shame that his main outlet was Lukaku who just wasn't showing for the ball.

He had a couple of decent moments going forward and won the ball as much as McTominay so wasnt too bad considering he came off the bench

We already knew he isn't good enough and he was crap in possession today (again), but he got up and down and helped stop Liverpool playing. He did the job in difficult circumstances.

Defensively and off the ball - good with lots of effort and determination.

Positioning to get on the ball - good.

Final ball/passing - caught in two minds between trying to pass it around and trying to drive forward.

As good as you can hope for with the amount of minutes he has had.

Worked hard to stop their midfield and did well considering the players he had to work with on our right side.

Big performance from him I thought given how poor he’s looked in recent appearances. Really enjoyed his performance today.

Credit to him, he stepped up and did his part. Cant ever fault his attitude. Didnt look like we had so many injuries out there.

Played relatively well, I thought. Must have been great for his confidence.

He was never going to come into that game and start dictating play. He actually struggled with his passing. But he worked his arse off. He’s going to get a fair bit of game time coming up so hopefully he can start to show his quality on the ball.

Most have said it, panicky on the ball but great defensive work from him, espeically chasing down Robertson on a number of occassions.

Surprising performance. I didn't know he that kind of tenacity and drive in him at the defensive end.

Fair play to him, he never hid. Very good fighting spirit. He was a bit nervous as to be expected in this game but he done very well.

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time
He had a 10 minute period at the start of the second half where he was quite good. He and Sanchez doing really well in that period is what allowed us to really get on top for a while. Unfortunately neither of them quite maintained it, but they still worked hard and helped make sure Liverpool never really threatened.

You can see he doesn't play much and he grew into the game. Happy with him.

Did exactly what was needed when he came on tbh.

He gave it away a lot but he battled and put a shift in and was a nuisance so can't really complain about it at all given the circumstances.

Showed he cared too which was great to see.

Happy for him that was a good performance, he looks like he's getting his confidence back.
No surprise who posted first

Fair play to him though, he can never truly replace Herrera but I feel he can do a decent job as proven today

He showed some balls and fight like you would expect from our own academy product, but if he wants a future here, he must show more.
