From Football365:

"Jesus even Steven Caulker ended up front at the end of some games, Benteke gave them something different also. I know it’s not pretty but launching high balls into a big man and hoping to pick up some scraps is nothing to be ashamed of when you are fighting for the title, couldn’t be any worse than watching sideways passing midfielders and a forward line struggling with ideas."

Should have signed Mourinho and Fellaini in January

Wonderfull evening here, no wind, so I thought...why not have a look...
Everton raised their game (ok it doesn’t take much to do that) and we lacked the killer touch. I see this as a point gained. We have four away games left against the teams currently 14th, 17th, 18th and 19th. The five home games will be like big European nights. I can see no reason why we wont win all our remaining games. City on the other hand still have to visit Old Trafford and United will need to win for their own top 4 aspirations. City will face a likely FA Cup semi and rearranged midweek match. They look nailed on for the CL QFs. Injuries are starting to affect them. Can’t see them winning all 9 of their games.
I actually believe we all care TOO much and it’s stopped us

The fear in these players since Christmas has been evident.

City are a team of soulless mercenaries managed by another playing for themselves. Literally Billions spent and they’re a point ahead of a team in profit over the last 5 years

There’s a heavy burden playing for this club purely because we make it so, the players feel it like a heartbeat on match day

I wouldn’t have it any other way but there it is
......
I get your pessimism, and you're right about top4. Our current form isn't a top4 form, and if it continues like this, we'll find ourselves fighting tooth and nail to be in the top4.
Dont be stupid.
Not stupid, just realistic. Do you really believe that we're going to twat our nine remaining opponents? You are very deluded if you believe that.
State of this

This is a fantastic way to describe Klopp's teaching evolution. Winning is a process, and each year we have been ahead of schedule.

The fact that we are here so quickly is nothing but opportunity. When one thinks about all the systems that had to be reconstructed, thought out, and delivered, it becomes so clear:

1. Anfield Redevelopment
2. Youth Academy Structure/New Facility
3. Commercial Sales & Revenue Streams
4. Scouting Department, Analytics & Negotiation Sections
5. Team Construction - Multi-layered squad construction - youth, transfers, existing squad development, loanees
6. Coaching Recruitment - Dalglish, Rodgers, Klopp (evolution)
7. Nutrition, Physiology, and Psychological Health Systems
8. Resilience: Soton Debacle, Suarez Debacles, 2 Finals Lost, and Coutinho sell off
9. Record Profit, expanding the brand, and attracting top quality players (VVD, Becker etc.)

We are getting better and better. Let's not lose sight of this in our desperation to experience the inevitable.

The ride to the top is journey. And our's will be our own, beautiful, tragic, and full of life.
ooooh, so sweeet
....
Christ on a fecking bike the state of some of these posts.
yeah some of these should just support someone like juve instead
...
Probably not, but we are obviously finishing top four.
I said IF we continue with this form. In the last ten league games, this is our form: 1L 5D 4W
Even if the last ten games were some magical prediction of our next nine which they clearly arent, that form would see us finish on 85 points which would guarantee top four so no
...
Bullocks. Everton is shit! It is up to man c to loose it now, i hope they will.

Nine games and 27 points left to play, and we need to more points than man c. It is a tough one, but it is not over until the fat Lady....
Not to brag, but I find she always purrs right to the very end ...

Attacking risks

Evidence is probably in the midfield selection

Low risk: Gini, Milner, Hendo

Medium risk : Gini, Fab, Hendo

Med/High : Gini, Fab, Kieta

High: Fab, Kieta, Shaq
After watching few more draws lately, I'll be happy with a 2nd, and Champions League back to Anfield.
I understand the "billions squad" can't be put out just easily like that. I understand.
I believe the manager and I will give him time. Always.
All effort in Big Ears, please. That will do. King of Europe!
We're only 1 point off.

Honestly, I expect both us and City to drop some points in the remaining 9 matched, so we still need to be as sharp as possible.
Past 5 games

THREE 0-0. That is not a winner's form.
Klopp shown them far too much respect in my opinion.

They are absolutely dogshit and we started a midfield as if it was an away leg in Europe.
.....
this is funny
It's been a tough stretch and it may get worse before it gets better, as we may not go through in the CL, with a very difficult away tie in Munich to come.

However, my prediction is that it will be very sweet to see United beat City and hand us the title.

I reckon Crystal Palace, Spurs, Man Utd and Leicester (Brendan Rodgers) will be their stumbling blocks. I think Palace will sneak a draw and I think Utd will win. Leicester and Spurs are harder to say, will depend on which team shows up. We have to do our part by winning games as they come - starting with Burnley
With our run of games and the form we're in those City games will be irrelevant by the time they come around as we could well be 6/7 points off them by that point.
Most difficult game out of the way, stupidness of a derby combined with pressure not to lose so 0-0 ain't bad. We can definitely win all the remaining games so down to the legs of City now.
Everton away is not tougher than Chelsea or Spurs ffs. We didn't win either of those corresponding fixtures last season.
City will drop points but that doesn't matter because so will we if something doesn't change. Maybe losing the top spot and being the 'chasers' now will see the team play with a bit less fear. Could be a blessing in disguise.
Ok, which one of you is this guy?
....

I didnt like Gini’s comments after the game.

“I don’t know (whether we prefer to chase them). We have to see if it suits us better. It’s always difficult to say. I think they are used to the pressure. For us it’s new."

Surely that sort of shit should be kept in house?
the feck, defo should shut it

this is Johnno about Sir Kenny
You and I know it won't make an ha'pporth of difference to the fella. He's a diamond already. Lizzie and her sort can pronounce and confer all they like. The reality is WE stalwarts of the working class KNOW who's true quality and, equally, we know who isn't. The Hoi-polloi down there in LANDON can kiss our collective Northern arses!
Captain Stockholm Syndrome has just argued against himself. He's tried to ally himself with his plucky comrades—stalwarts of the working class!—while using a derogatory term (hoi polloi) that's classist toward working class people!

It’s okay, we are still 4 points ahead.

It’s okay, we are still 3 points ahead.

It’s okay, we are still 1 point ahead.

It’s okay, we are only 1 point behind...

So disappointing. Klopp has done phenomenally well to get us where we are this season. This recent wobble may cost us, it may not. What it has highlighted, which I think most of us already knew, is that we don’t have quite the strength in depth we need. This is particularly the case in attacking areas. I think we forget how incredibly lucky we have been with the front three not missing many games. Can you imagine if one of them were out for 3 months or longer?

If we get over the line this year, and we still can of course, Klopp will have done a frankly astounding job. Even if we do win the league, we have to strengthen in attacking areas and add some more creativity to the midfield. We are missing that a bit on days like yesterday.
....
I think this season it will prove to be. Can't see Chelsea or Spurs giving it everything like Everton did
But they're both very, very good football teams who on their day are capable of beating anyone. Everton are not.
Sorry but no. Everton, with all their effort, gave us less problems than Palace, West Ham and Leicester.
....
We bought Shaqiri for games like yesterday, away to a defensive, inferior side.
As someone else said above, I'm not sure why we play our keep-it-tight, away European midfield in games like this.

Having said that, worse things happen at sea. It's March and we're 1 point off top spot.
We were 10 points clear at one point..
....
i firmly believe the gaffer cost us the title yesterday. like Rafa did in 2008. we are becoming more and more defensive. i know i will be criticized but if it was SAF in this position he would have removed one of the full backs and brought in another striker.
Hard to believe you’ve been able to spout so much shite in just 15 words, but you have. Congratulations.
fecking hell. It has been a vintage season on RAWK.
.....
While from a Liverpool point of view the result was disappointing, I don't know what the hell Everton fans are crowing about. They still haven't beaten us since dinosaurs ruled the earth and they're in 10th after a year of drunken spending. A pathetic underachievement.
Everton's season once again hinging on the success or failure of Liverpool, surely some blues have more ambition than that?
Or maybe not.
It's more like a man getting two fingers cut off, and feeling joy at it because his rival also got two cut off. The natural reaction is to feel glum because of your own fingers being gone. Not them though.

Celebrating a home draw against a team you never, ever, can beat. What an odd mental mess they are.
They’ve adapted the philosophy of “it is not enough that we should succeed, others must fail” and bastardised it so that it reads “if we deem the redshite to have failed then we have succeeded”.
They really are FC Vicarious.
Imagine their world where they sing about being feckin rich, win successive transfer windows, talk about the powershift, the better players and 3 years after becoming "feckin rich" the highlight of their season is a 0-0 v us which of course in their world loses us the title. The fact that they are 33 behind us with 9 to play is missed on them.

Almost....... are you over that feeling now ??

Yes, have been over it, until this
Over the last 7 league games our xG average has dropped by more than 1/2 goal.

In 4 out of those 7 (Leicester, West Ham, Man Utd and now Everton) we either barely got 1 or didn't even get close.

That's going to the be the story of our season if this doesn't turn around, a drop in our attacking ability. As you either need to be super clinical or relying on miracles depending on your view point to win games or get points.
aaah, the good ol' xG, will cost them a league title, feel sorry again...

They'll ship him off in the summer while covering his most of his wages for the remainder of the contract, what a monumental waste of money.
Who in their right mind would take him though?

He'll have his ego, so he'll want Juve, Madrid, Barca, Bayern or crazy money from PSG.
And none of those propably wouldn't look at him.

So China or MLS, and even the yanks seem to be getting wiser regarding transfers.
It might be a good option careerwise to start learning cantonese for poor little Alexsis
Mandarin..

Isn't the only reason they made such a big profit because of the Coutinho money? Without it I think they would have posted a 30-40 million loss.

This will go down a treat over at RAWK

...with fans being unmoved by his success at smaller provincial clubs like Inter Milan !

Get in Fulham, that will wind them up!

I hate united as much as the next person but PSG with all their play acting and moaning are an absolute disgrace to the game these days, and Tuchel has fully bought into being an insufferable arrogant twat along with the rest of the club. In that sense I'm glad United knocked them out at this stage.

Plus it can't be denied that Solskjaer has done a decent job with them in the last few months as much as I hate to say it. However, if he gets the job that club needs a massive overhaul which is a 3 year project at least and he definitely doesn't have the managerial experience to take on a title challenge anywhere in the near future. They'll be out in the next round and if we progress we will look back on it as them having done everyone a favor by knocking out those diving twats.
I know it's United, but...

fecking PSG
Yup. I dislike United because of the rivalry. I don't like seeing them win. But at least they're a "real" club like us. It is a bit sweet seeing that fake oil-soaked PSG knocked out like this.
Some might say this means City are massively on for the quadruple now.

I say it means we are massively on for the double!
Man United getting massively bent decision in big match shocker.

Hopefully they get City in the quarters.
Can someone explain how that's not a penalty? Not a subjective opinion, but an objective explanation of the rule? I'm guessing the ref had time to process it when he saw the replay. My reaction was handball the moment I saw the replay, with him jumping like that.

It isn't the referee's fault that PSG played like absolute donkeys.
Even Rio doesn’t think it was a pen.

Why do BT bother with the ref analyst. They always back the ref.
Good

PSG are just a french Man City, absolute piece of shit club full of c*nts, owned by c*nts. The more embarassment for them the better.

feck PSG.

Now lets have a City v Utd draw in the next round and let them Traveller each other up.
Fair play to them although I can't see how that was a penalty. I've been against VAR since the start because you can't celebrate goals properly as it can get overturned and the fact everything looks like a foul in slow motion.

I thought I didn't have to worry about them winning the CL this season but after that result plus they're form over the last few months they have as good a chance as anyone.
No point bleating about utd.

2- 0 and they fecked it up against a make shift utd side. Woeful and typical PSG. feck right off.
they'll get Ajax, Spurs or the winner of Porto/Roma. All winnable for them. They would also have a decent chance against the winners of us vs Bayern.
Ajax would wipe the floor with them (and others) based on their two legs with Real

To be honest I think it was a penalty. I’d be screaming for it if it was against us.
I thought it was a penalty, but only 5th or 6th viewing.

Great to see PSG out, if we can get a result against Bayern we're in with a shout.
It doesn’t matter now, it’s all done. Chelsea 2012 all over again.
I called this bang on the money. Said around the 80th minute they'd spawn a pen and get a dodgy VAR call. fecking hell. That's the worst decision I've seen in a very long time, and this VAR bollocks was supposed to eradicate this. If anything, it's made the controversy worse. There's a reason why Stevey Speilberg et al all use slow motion in films. It tricks the mind. Dickheads.
Imagine we win the league and they win the CL

fecks sake
Why would a Liverpool fan want United to win anything?
Happily take that now.
Imagine if we win both
Sky Sport News Banners at the moment:
Big banner towards the bottom of the screen - BREAKING NEWS: MAN UTD INTO CL QUARTER FINAL

Big bar running down the right hand side: MAN UTD WIN 3-1 AT PSG TO REACH CL QUARTER FINAL

No agenda here chaps
It also guarantees Ole the job, which I love

What a fecking underwhelming, shit appointment that would be. Appointing the manager of Moldy lol

It’s pure relief after playing under Maureen! It will be different when the novelty wears off. Hopefully this little bounce gives them more mediocre years by appointing Ole
It's PSG though, they are known for bottling the Champions League, if this United team met Atletico they would have a much sterner test and no way could I see them overcoming that.
Or Man City

Or the winner of Bayern/us

Or Barcelona

feck even spurs will do them over 2 legs....
The way things have been for Real and now PSG, I can definitely see shitcoat getting a job this summer.
From the moment it went 2-1 I knew it was going to be one of those nights.

Tuchel is a fecking fraud.
the winner:
Is our 0-0 at Old Trafford against a number of Man Utd fringe players looking better now?
Not many realised the truth which is that all those injury disruptions had disrupted our rhythm, and furthermore the main point is when a team is wounded like that it tends to unite them to work harder for each other, you see that happen when a team is down to 10 men. They had players dropping like flies out injured but those on the field manned up and worked harder for each other... that's why it was so difficult to break them down.

As annoying as it's the Red Mancs, it's still funny as feck all that money PSG have spent & Monaco have been nearer to winning the CL than PSG have.
400 million on two players and knocked by a weak United side with Scott fecking McTominay in midfield.
At least that Troll Ole will get the job permanently now

You know we’re back in business when “corrupt” is wheeled out!

We’re back to boiling p*ss again!
