Now this is not a negative blow off thread after a very bad result with Everton today 4-0. It is not just complaining about our performance and what could have been done better. This is a a bigger look into the main issue to our downward spiral in the last years that 4 Managers could not fix. Now I have been defending many of our players in the past and distributed the blame on our previous managers and the board with some exception obvious players that most of us here agree they need to go. But after having 4 managers try different approaches and different tactics and different player management styles and after today's performance. I can guarantee without any suspicion that the main problem United has are the PLAYERS.
This is not the first time I mention this. Although in the past I was not so direct on the blame like I am doing now. I have mentioned many times before in threads I have started that our team does not have leaders. Leaders not only in the sense of being a captain, or having experience. Rather leaders in a sense of being men with character fighting in what they are passionate about and believe in. Leaders that have the mental strength and desire to fight to the last minute whatever the circumstances on and off the field. At the current squad we do not have these type of players except maybe a few and they are also debatable.
We have given the players the benefit of the doubt for so many years defending them in many occasions. But I believe this bunch are not capable of winning us anything soon. I believe Soljkaer saw this today also from his answers in the press conference. Now this might seem a little harsh, but this has been building up for a long time now. I am not going to go into individual names and which ones are better than others since I believe its a cumulative effort and all the squad is to be blamed. Although blamed more are the older players with more experience. Its not about losing a game or having a bad performance or even not winning silverware. Its about having no care about United, no fighting spirit, no passion whatsoever for wearing this shirt. While the fans spend their hard earned money to come and support them.
