The wahab worship has to be the strangest phenomenon of recent times. The guy is shit and always get hit for runs.
Casuals only watch him at world events. He delivers a memorable spell at every world cup and that's the only thing people remember him for. Those three spells (coincidentally coming against the host nation every time) somehow overshadow the 95 % remaining games where he's absolutely trash.

Amir is miles ahead of any other Pakistan bowler. Good to see him amongst the wickets again.

@hasanejaz8, let's just leave it at complete difference of opinion regarding Wahab Riaz. You look at stats way too much than looking at the player -- evident with how you rate Sahid Afridi.

You're not the first person who has had this view of Afridi. He deserved his long career every bit and even a fading Afridi would do well in the number 6/7 position today. Another player you simply cannot judge by their stats.

An average of 30 can mean a thousand different things based on the context you come into bat. Same for bowling.

There's a reason almost every expert out there agrees with me on Wahab. Hes Express pace bowler who has found rythm and form, banging it in at 90+ mph consistantly being able to bowl the Yorker and short ball. You don't pick a medium paced, out of form, trundler like Junaid Khan over him.

The point is, context matters a lot in cricket. These conditions are glorious for Wahab. As he has been proving so far the guy is clearly not "shit".

You need players that can bring it up a level or two for big games. He's a player that's done that time and time again.

I’m really looking forward to our match with SA. They put us to the sword time and time again in the run up to the last World Cup, and at the World Cup itself with AB getting that fastest ODI century. It’s high time for a bit of revenge

Hope big man Gayle thumps a 100 in 25 balls. Would love to see RSA knocked out early even though I like them. Don't like their batting at all

I like them as well. SA have always been my second favourite team in cricket, but I really am hoping for a bit of revenge. A knock like that would be very welcome :D

Roy looked frustrated right from the first over when he kicked the boundary rope for no good reason.

Indeed, he was moody all day and his play suffered massively. He's shown the world he can be got at so I wouldn't be at all surprised if he's singled out for some special chirping for the rest of the tournament.

Afghanistan winning would be cool but to be honest I want to see something from Sri Lanka today. They've got to 32 without loss, a little bit of wayward stuff from the Afghans, and I hope to see them at least looking competitive.

Rush of blood from Karunaratne, there's nothing wrong with carrying the bat at one end while your partners blast away but he lost his patience there.

He is one of only two players that has managed that in World Cup history, I'm sure he's well aware!

Glad I stuck with Nabi despite his nothingness performance against Australia!

not surprised by SL. they performed worse against NZ than Afghanistan did against Australia. it's a pity to see how far they've fallen though.

Will be several rain affected games this week. Pak-SL looking like a certain washout.

So SL had 41 overs made 207 (granted they were bowled out before then) why do Afghanistan need 187 in 41 overs. DL fecking SL right over

How does it feck them over? They played shite and barely had any resources left when the rain arrived.

The reason the target was reduced was to compensate Afghanistan for the loss of the 9 overs. Without the rain they would have had 50 overs to chase down whatever SL's final two wickets got.

SA need to put the guy out of his misery and just stop selecting him. He's an all time great but a complete liability these days with injuries.
