We also said we'd remove the deadwood.
And we haven't even been able to move Darmian out, and took the strange decision to sign Mata on for a few more years.
Most of the time, deadwood are moved after the replacement are bought, but i still agree.

Darmian, Young, Jones, Mata, Rojo and Matic should be moved on this window.

Signing him offers us a lot of flexibility. Can play in a two man midfield or in a three man midfield system. I don't know why we are not interested in him?
Even if we are interested and don't act fast, someother club will sign him before we make our first offer.

Shambles the way our club is being run about!
As soon as the Pogba going to Real circus started, french media has said that we were the most interesed club for him, way before the end of the saison.

Time passed, rivals came knocking the door, yet we are still not doing anything else than agreing personal term with the player, like Juventus and Spurs.

We know that Lyon want 90 M €, and that the last Spurs offer of 60 M £ is rejected.

Why are we not sending an offer of 80 or 85 M €, now ?

Wait, maybe because it will be accepted and the fans will be happy, but that is too easy for Ed. Ed like to do last minute offer to pretend he tried (see VVD and now Hummels), leaving the fans unhappy and angry.

Bollocks he did.

Saying "United tried but player turned them down" is click bait of the highest order, our negative fans and the entire negative vibe being created around the club by the fans and media ensures a simple load of bollocks like "United tried to sign Hummels" is fecking lapped up by the lot of you.

Shame if he goes to Spurs and we aren't even in for him. He shouldn't be looked at as a someone that can't play alongside Pogba or is too similar to play in a 3 with him.

Pogba, N'Dombele and a better number 6 would be amazing. Our midfield is weak compared to our rivals and in my opinion, it is in a worse state that our defence or attack.

With Ole saying he wanted our team to be the hardest working team in the league I thought he would overhaul the midfield this summer. So far nothing!

I have watched Tanguy N'dombele alot in the last few years in the hope that he would come here. His qualities are exactly what we lack currently in midfield.!
Agree, also I feel he can be developed to play as 6 as well when he doesn't have all the creative burden on himself.

So he looks like a player, doesn't he? I actually think we could get away with having him, Pogba and McTominay as a midfield trio for most games.

You believed Hummels :lol::lol::lol:

So you’re saying there’s no way Ed in his confusion tried to sign Hummels, and that Hummels is in fact lying? Do you have any special insight or why are you laughing like a madman at the supposed Hummels offer. I’d understand if you laughed because you’d prefer someone with a long term perspective, but there seems to be no reason to not believe the story.

He is the kind of midflielder we should be going after. He should be our 1st preferred midfield signing. Then we can go for Bruno or Maddison.

I'll laugh like a madman that you are daft enough to think Hummels has even fecking said this

It's quite clearly made up nonsense by Bild to use United's name in the article for extra clicks.

Ermm yes! You must think Mourinho is still in charge. Not Ed but what the hell would Solskjær want with Hummels a player we’ve not once been linked with all summer until he signs for Dortmund.

I’d take Ndombele-McTominay-Pogba as a midfield 3 over Herrera-Matic-Pogba any day.

Just need to get the attack firing which I’m pretty sure we’re not going to address this season without being forced to if personnel leave.

You believe this summer look like we are executing some kind of plan ?

Because, i don't.

Everything indicated that we will sign Ndombele this summer because we started talking to Lyon, way before the end of the saison, when absolutly no rivals was mentioned, but Ed stupidly waited and now we have rivals, yet no United offer has been sent, despite knowing the asking price of Lyon.

We negociated one year with Herrera only to bench him with a fake injury and finally let him go. That may have cost us a CL spot and leave us short in the midfield, but apparently it all was planned by Ed.

We want new young players in, but Ed give new contracts to the deadwood, because ........, i don't know.

We go for Maguire and refuse to pay the 80 or 90 M £, time passed, City came with 80 M £ than Ed panic and throw the 80 m £ but the player want City.
NB : We also refused to pay when he was at Hull City.

We go for Fernandes, City and Spurs wanted him before stepping away from him, Ed panic and wait, probably asking himself why they moved away from him, like they detected something that he can't see.

VVD is identified at Celtic, we don't move and he go to the Saints for peanuts. Liverpool identified him and throw 75 M £ at him but the Saints reject it, we don't move. VVD force the move, Ed panic and throw the money but the player want Pool.

We want Lukaku out and value him at 75 M £. We ask him to find is new club and he chose Inter, and already agree personnal term with them. We ask for the money and they throw all kind of bullshit like, we only have 60 M £, please take Icardi or Perisic in the deal, please wait in the air, because we need to sell Icardi to give you the money.
Well, why have we not said to Lukaku that the club he chose must have the cash or he can't agree anything with them ? Now, we have a player unsetteled with an agreement with another team and his bags ready to go, but they can't pay the fee. Well done.

Pogba want to leave for Real, we don't so we ask for a lot. Real refuse to pay and ask Pogba to force the transfer. He do it, but we still hold out for the money. They want to force us to accept there deadwood to lower the price but we don't want. Juventus want to do the same but the player we want (Dybala) doesn't want to come. Pogba menace us to not come back from holiday. The dressing room and OGS finally can't swallow it anymore, they want him out but Adidas come in and block the transfer if we can't replace him with another Adidas stars, knowing we can't without CL. Again well done, and welcome to the unhappy gang.
But wait, Ed panic and want to reward this cnut with a ridiculious contract that will completly destroy the dressing room harmony.

The list will of course go on

Enjoy the sweet summer

Just another example of us not paying the money required and haggling to the point a currently better club comes along and signs said player and they become a success so the other club move further ahead of us and our excuse “well we tried and were in for them”

This isn’t Sir Alex’s era anymore and the transfer market crazily inflated due to TV money so the norm now is £40-£50 million for a squad player and £70-£80 for a first team player and most likely £100 million plus for a game changing star player. N’Dombele falls in the middle category therefore £70-£80 million is the fee needed and he’s an upgrade on Herrera, plays with Pogba for France, experienced yet young and has sell on value IF we ever did move him on.

We need to start being realistic as we are NOT the most attractive destination for players anymore due to piss poor management and piss poor performances on the pitch so other clubs are likely to add an extra £5-£10 million on for us so we either accept that and pay to halt the decline or slide further away, whether we’re one of the top 2 or 3 clubs in the world or not it won’t take long for Wolves and Leicester to start pushing us for a Europa spot if we continue with such a farce in how we operate.

Totally agree with everything you said.

We need to pay that little bit extra to get these kind of special players who can take us to next level. If he fails that is a different story which is been the case for players like Fred last year but among the players available in this window he looks like a great talent so we should take our chances and start building towards playing attractive football.

We need to buy proper players who can compliment each other, Fred could be a better player next to someone like Ndombele, so we need to decide our style and buy players accordingly.

What ever the style it could be we need an anchor someone like Ndombele so we must go for this guy and then plan our other targets to compliment this signing.

How do you know that money is/would be the reason?

Some players may simply not want to come to United, or prefer another club, for reasons other than money. And if so, it doesn't matter which other bids the selling club would like to accept.

If personal terms are not agreed then it would mean that the player doesn't want to join united for whatever reasons. But the fact that we have not even bid for the player regardless of what the amount quoted is in itself a statement of our intent.

That is not the point,

There was a time, before the end of the saison, when we identified him and were without any rivals.

If we didn't wait and offered the fee that Lyon wanted at this moment, we will already know if Ndombele wanted to come, way before Spurs, Juventus contacted Lyon.

We just wasted time, allowing over club to enter the bidding war and now all we can do is give Lyon the 80 or 90 M € while expecting that Spurs and Juventus will pull out of the race, and if they don't offer him a better contract and pray.

He will be a Fred signing here. We struggled to consistently get the best out of a much better player in Pogba. N’Dombele won’t be any difference unless we improve our philosophy. United under Ole will be more effective with players who are capable of fast transitions for Ole counter attacking approach, not players who suits a more possessions oriented approach. Players like Neves, Bruno, Tielsman, who can split defense with a pass over distance should be Ole’s target. Moreover, players that can work hard and are quick thinkers like Maddison.

N’Dombele is much better playing for Pochettino where he would turn into a signing similar to Van Dijk. Pochettino has experience developing players in his mold as seen with Moussa Dembele, who was a essential part of Spurs midfield the last five years. Even though, it would bad for United if he goes to Spurs, it is better to not have another Sanchez esque signing where we buy players that are not suited for our philosophy or are not the right signing. Then have fans complain why we signed this player few months later.

We have a chance to get a midfielder that is class and we should go for him now. Ndombele would be a great signing for us.

Saw some strong rumours that Spurs have gotten him, true?
No.

On Tanguy Ndombele:
The demands from Juninho and Sylvinho are very precise. We have done the essentials in terms of departures. We will need substantial proposals to make things with Tanguy Ndombele advance, who is a requestor (of a departure). He is being solicited by most of the great clubs. For the moment, nothing is done. But the door is maybe ajar. If he has to depart, we have made enquiries for a certain number of players. Thiago Mendes is one of them.

Yes sir, he certainly only fit Spurs and definetly not United, we should pull out so you (Spurs fan) can keep haggling over the fee for the better player, while we go for less talented ones.

In your dream !

We should call your and Juventus bluff and blow both of you out of the water, by throwing a 85 or 90 m € offer, now.

If Ed do that, i believe you will not be able to follow, but sadly he will probably not do it and inevitably miss out the quality player we most need this window.

Again

Best signing of the summer so far....He's a bit of Pogba without the flash but does everything brilliant and wonderful control in midfield with the ball at his feet.

Would love him at United :(

Should have bought him a couple years ago when we were first linked. He looks pegged to go on to be a cracking player for Spurs.

As much as I respect Spurs and where they are heading this really shouldn’t be a signing they stand a chance of doing but if they pull it off then props to them. Would put another nail in the coffin of the people making the decisions at United for me.

Another player available on the market who is set to join a fellow Premier League team and we never acted upon our supposed "interest". It really is disappointing especially when we are looking for a Center Midfielder and Tanguy Ndombele fits that role and has the abilities we require.
