Game over, he chose Juventus over us.

He would have looked like a foul if he didn't get a CL club, after PSG.

Just move on to the next target (Please get Ndombele and forget Fernandes).
Ndombele probably choose Spurs over us. Leave us with Longstaff now

No, he just said that he will probably accept the transfer, if the fee is accepted by Lyon.
We still don't know if Spurs or Juventus can match the asking price of 90 M €.
Ed must throw the money now and see if someone can follow.
If nobody can, we will probably get him, if we offer a good salary.

Would be a coup if we could steal him from Juve. Serious question marks over his attitude and work rate, but at the same time he could be the signing of the season such is the talent. Worth the risk on a free.
Are they not implying he’s renewing?

Is this guy trying to compete with De Ligt for most changes of mind and mystery in one window!

I think both assumed they'd be Barca bound and will want to keep the door open to that for as long as possible

It's not what I read into that tweet no
It goes with their news of a new offer from Leonardo and it's further developed on their website where they mention that Rabiot refuses MU due to lack of CL.

This is one transfer id really love to get done . I think he is something we need and also would bring the best out of our attacking talents.

This really sucks. We could have fought for this guy instead we are after sean longstaff. Why do we always stay away from good players while the likes of Juventus and Madrid always find a way to get value? It really makes no sense why we couldnt go above and beyond to secure this guy. he is better than most of what we have. I think I need a drink!

I think we are looking for hungry players. Not those who think they have already made it and have nothing to play for since the money will just keep rolling in and the win bonuses don't matter.

There is NO chance that we could or would beat Juve to a FREE, quality player. Best free/ mercenary team in history. Great team. Well run. Great management. HUGE club. The History. Striking. We have NOTHING on them anymore. Oh how I hate them. Eddy Out!

yes we can! We can offer him a lot more money than Juve. Ask city or psg!

I really dont care anymore. we have to start giving players more money in offshore accounts if we aren't already doing so. It just feels terrible settling for Newcastle players.

More money, than they down tools and are difficult to flog on, if money is the sole reason player wants to come.

Besides problem is we operate with we will see what we can get mentality and will never sign a third midfielder.

Hungry players like Marcus’ best mate and role model Lingard?

We are at a disadvantage always just based on climate. Sunny Italy, Spain, etc,.. or damp, cold, dreary Blighty. Then add NO Champs league. On top of that a new, unproven (pulling for ya Ole but.. unproven) manager. And lastly until I find more things to moan about....Clueless, rudderless executive management. Rotting from the Ed down. We are a joke. I hope they will prove me wrong but I've seen very little evidence that they will.

Where was the weather disadvantage when ronaldo vidic evra rvn de gea type of signings were pulled off.

At the moment juventus are bearing fruits of bringing in Ronaldo and their defence back, while we are at total disadvantage from the way the club is being run .

Really would have loved him to replace Ander. Instant upgrade. Can't blame him if he wants CL football though. All the big (even if only in their head) players do these days. But that said, he was no better than Longstaff at this stage of his development. Who's to say Longstaff won't surpass him evetlntually?

I'm not Rashy. :smirk: Hungry like a player who has not experienced life at an elite club yet. Not someone who has been there and done that already and this time it's doing the same at another club.

We were a better club with a better manager and were headed in the right direction. Hopefully lesser known, harder working players will see and take advantage of the unique opportunity we offer in making a historically great team the greatest team once again.

We already have young, hungry, and VERY TALENTED players in our academy. Why not start bringing them into the team instead of paying £30m for someone else’s hungry but unproven players?

I agree that our youth should be given a chance.

If they are talented and ready enough they will come out on top regardless and no one can stop them. We should not overrate our academy players anymore.

Maybe it's over the top, but I'd argue that anybody saying the weather is a major disadvantage in a player choosing a club, has never stepped foot in Manchester.
It really isn't that bad, at all

We would love a freebie at this time where our midfield is in abysmal state, wouldn't we?
Sure yeah. Desperate times do call for desperate measures. But with the current lack of leadership in the team, recruiting a maverick also has the potential to backfire.

Rabiot isn't a maverick and he has never been an issue for his club or teammates. He is also very predictable.

I've read stuff about him being late to meetings, and therefore being taken off a team. Asking for a transfer then coming back and signing an extension with PSG. Going over the Manager's head to ask to be loaned out when he wasn't happy with playing time.

And now apparently agreeing to a deal with Juve then asking for some time to think it over.

Of course the above could all be media fabricated stories. I don't follow Ligue Un or the French NT enough to know for sure.

I'm pretty sure that I know which article you read and it's mainly exaggerated. Players are late to meetings from time to time, it happens with Rabiot and there is nothing special about it. The other points, he wasn't playing and logically asked to be loaned/sold if PSG had no intention to play him which is perfectly normal. And finally, we don't know how things went with Juventus but it seems sensible to thnik carefully about a long term commitment.
