Really looking forward to the Sunday match now.
Won't it be funny to see Pant come in and scores big, especially considering Vaughan keeps on asking why isn't pant playing. I think Jadeja might play instead of Shankar and Pant might miss out again.

Nah Jadeja isn't strong enough of a batsman to warrant a place in top 6. He is pretty much the back up for Hardik and spinners. If anything Kartik might play but I am sure they will give Shankar another go.

If it is the same pitch that was used for NZ/Pak then playing Jadeja makes sense but yes that would weaken our batting but it is not like SHankar has been scoring good runs.

What's even more bizarre is that he is even complaining about pitches were score was above or around 300 like in Pakistan game. Just because England lost that match, the pitch was not its usual self.

Pitches are different because rain has not allowed groundsman that much control over them.
England also can't ask the groundsmen for x and y, the ICC oversees the development of the pitches. And that's no problem, go out and play on them having done your homework and gauged the conditions during the match, like all cricket teams do.

He sounds rattled. But he has a point when he questions KP. Kp kept on tweeting about Morgan being coward and as an ex- countrymen he should not be tweeting such crap. Its funny how they either go to one extreme og calling this team the best or going to other by just tweeting shit about them.

Ind Eng would be fun, either Eng bounces back in an convincing fashion or they are trounced completely and we start hearing all sort of nonsense news from their camp.
Aye that's not needed from KP, but just because Vaughan's been part of some pisspoor ODI displays himself it doesn't mean he can't point out that this would be a terrible show if England don't make the semis at this WC. I'd rather the squad battened down the hatches and concentrated on cricket, settling scores in the media is fine after the tournament but I don't like to see it during a campaign, particularly not at a crunch point.

Jadeja could easily do better than what Shankar has offered. I'm fairly certain Jadeja has a decent record in England. Plus, hes always bowled well here and his fielding is next level. I only see his and Pants inclusion strengthening us.

Bairstow point about pitches was stupid but he's right about KP and Vaughan. Both of them are attention seeking idiots.

He's still at it. Made a video now:

I like how he introduced who he was at the start too.

This only happens in the sub continent.

Why not spend two weeks teaching Malik how to be a cricketer.

Still an idiot for commenting on them. Players shouldn’t be commenting on what pundits say unless it’s personal and even then you still come across as a whiny brat in the circumstance.

Constantly at the STD clinic.
I like Razzaq as a cricketer. In his younger days his bowling was fun and when he got going he could really smash it around the ground but I wouldn't even want him to coach me. His batting technique was pretty bad.

To be honest, in his time, he was a wonderful allrounder. An excellent 3rd or 4th choice bowler and a mean hitter of the ball.

But in KPs case it was quite personal against Morgan and it looked bollocks.

Sorry when I say personal I mean criticism that isn't related to cricket e.g, of his personal life or background. Saying Morgan was scared of Starc is still a criticism related to cricket even if it is simplistic.

I think players speaking back at pundits only helps the latter and have the same view in football. Part of Neville's notoriety as a pundit is because players and managers keep falling for his bait and would best ignore hum.

I didn't even know what KP said, as like most pundits he is largely irrelevant, until I saw Bairstow mention it.

Aye it's a good one. I'm also a fan of Pakistan's and West Indies's. England's is crap obviously, I'd have Jerusalem or Abide With Me over GSTQ.
Well naturally for me rally round the West Indies is my favorite. I literally get chills whenever I hear that anthem, but from the other countries NZ is definitely my favorite.

Oh to enjoy one's own anthem. Get Jerusalem in.

Fernando gave his wicket away. Sad to see, I hope he learns from it as he's a good player.

Christ. The whole thing is pathetic, but I'm more on Vaughan's side on this one. If you don't want to be criticised Jonny, don't lose to Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Pakistan on their day can cause anyone problems, so there's no shame in losing to them by 14 runs, but if you come into a tournament as favourites and lose to a dark horse you'll get pulled up for it, while Sri Lanka aren't even that having come into this with all kinds of woes in the dressing room and selectors' room. The favourites staring down the barrel while three other teams have all but booked their semi final places is a comment-worthy case of affairs, and the idea English pundits somehow have a duty to happy-clap the team regardless of how you perform is for the birds.
