Wow, that's out of the blue.

I thought we were well covered for keepers with Emily Ramsey coming through. I guess Casey has decided she's too young (18) to be our first choice and that Siobhan can't do the full season. I'm surprised though - but then it's still surprising to me how short the contracts are in the women's game, so maybe I shouldn't be surprised. :smirk:

Anyway - welcome to Manchester United!

Do you think she is a good acquisition?

I don't know. I only really notice keepers when they're playing against us (unless they do something terrible and make it onto a youtube playlist :D) but she's got plenty of WSL experience. The fact that she's played for Wolfsburg (top women's team in Germany) and England says she's good, so I'll just assume she's a good addition until proven otherwise.

Interesting! With 1.71, he’s not as tall as Siobhan Chamberlain or Emily Ramsey (both around 1.80). That needn’t be so important, I guess. She has been second or third choice for the national team as well as second behind German NT goalie Almuth Schult for Wolfsburg the last year. Those are very good teams to be second choice for, but hard to tell how close she has been to the first choices. I haven’t seen her play.

The age gap between Chamberlain and Ramsey is large, so I think this makes a lot of sense. But is she related to Wyatt? (Ed. God dammit, @langster!)

She’s only played 3 games for Die Wölfinnen, though. But with Almuth Schult as first choice, that doesn’t say much.

Yea I thought it was a bit out of the blue as I wasn't sure a goalkeeper was required. Fingers crossed and she will bring a lot of experience which is good!

With four already in, to replace the four released, assumed we were done for this window. Seemingly not.

Earps is roommate of Toni Duggan, who is currently clubless and a United fan. It does make one wonder where Toni might be playing next season.
