Courtois said this (just before the world cup):
“I’m committed to Chelsea. I have a contract until next year and I will be here. I will do my best for it. Obviously there is no extension signed but I don’t think now is the moment to do it. I think it is better to wait until the end of the season. All I can say is I’m committed to Chelsea and also committed for next year.”

So he is either lying in the statement above or he is lying about having an agreement with Chelsea to leave after the world cup.

Basically, his pants are on fire.
Footballer in lying shocker. Doesn't change the fact he was ticking down his contract for a reason.

It's still not an excuse to just not turn up to work.

Di Maria clearly wanted out of utd. From about October onwards.

Still doesn't mean he wasn't a complete knobhead when he refused to show up to work at Utd.

If he'd just ticked it down then I would not be so salty.

Anyway, enough of this.

Will he get back in the side at Real or is Zidane really going to leave a mega-wages goalie on the bench?

I would say if I had an agreement with Chelsea to leave and I had promised my daughter based on this. If Chelsea decided to renege on the agreement I wouldn't show up either in order to force the move. He would be a complete knobhead to his family not to do so you could say...

I do think its cool for Chelsea fans to call him a knobhead for not showing up though

However in reality we all know its not that simple and if Chelsea did renage on the agreement they themselves are a bunch of knobheads

Pretty sure he would have came back if not sold though and played out the season, so his chess move worked out for him

Agreed - I sort of see your point for what it's worth.

Why does Zidane insist on these favourites like Navas and Bemzema? Seems odd.

That's all fair enough you're right.

I think the fact he comes across like a snidey prick makes me automatically distrust him so maybe it's just me being biased

Has Courtois been bad this season? Or is just Real Madrid in general have been rubbish so he's getting the blame?

Hes hasn't been good for them to be honest, I personally don't rate him that highly and I agree he is quite snidey

Not too worried about De Gea. Zidane really rates Navas and they need big investment elsewhere in the squad.

If so, when Zidane eventually thinks Navas needs replacing, what are the chances of him looking elsewhere
There will be a few clubs worried now ZZ is back in charge and Real need to do some rebuilding. De Gea and Pogba might well be transfer targets. There's even a rumour linking Rashford to Spain but that, I think, came from a Barca site.

Not a great endorsement. Cue De Gea rumours again
The rumours will start but Madrid will keep Courtois for another season at least.Plus Zidane loves Navas. He's his biggest fan and why not when he's been heavily involved in all their CL success.
I think DDG slightly wobbly season may put Madrid off too, tbh.

I think Madrid has bigger problems to fix than GK this summer, but what worries me is that De Gea could leave us on a free transfer next year.

And to be honest, I'd rather we sell him this summer than him leaving for nothing the following year, and I'm not even sure if we should offer him Sanchez's money either as this will have a massive impact to our wage structure.

We must get rid of Sanchez at all costs this summer otherwise we will have a hard time negotiating new contracts for both Pogba and De Gea

It never made any sense as to why they even went for Courtois to begin with
They wanted a ”name” keeper for ages, particularly having lost out on De Gea. Plus Navas doesn’t come from a Top Footballing Nation, so therefore must be crap.

Was always a weird signing. Navas was great for them at the biggest moments and is much more suited to an open side, Courtois would be better than Navas for Atletico but not Real. They should have just signed Alisson if they wanted a new goalie then the scousers would have been fecked too as there's not really many quality goalies available.

Because they win him games.

Feet up at home.
Courtois is a total cnut. Shit attitude and ain't the best keeper either. Wish he was still at Chelsea.

Horribly overrated player. Was outstanding on loan at Atlético but I don’t feel he ever reached those heights again.

Pure stubbornness of the president, who got the signing at a great price and wants him to succeed yes or yes.
I would sell him and play with Keylor and Lunin

He definitely did in his first season with us, alongside Hazard stood up in the title run in while the rest of the side collapsed.

Did he? I genuinely think his peak was his Atlético days. I thought he was genuinely going to be brilliant.

After I read about him sleeping with De Bruynes girlfriend of the time behind his back and then telling all of De Bruynes mates that they were having an affair I kind of knew he was a bellend. Everything since has just confirmed it.

Yeah he made a shocking error at Hull (which he atoned for with a triple save) but otherwise looked excellent. He never hit the same heights after that but during 14/15 every Chelsea fan i came across were very happy with him.

Don’t get me wrong he is good enough for a top club but I don’t feel he lived up to the hype.

He looks like he's aged 20 years since leaving us. I wish this snake all the best after he cries his way back to Madrid.

Overall I think Allison is the best keeper in the world but in a one off big game I don't think there has been a better keeper of this generation than Courtois.
