I mean, there are fans that say Lukaku will do well in Serie A because it’s a lower quality league and fail to notice that Dybala only scored 5 league goals from 30+ games last season.

Our history with Argentinian players is also horrific.
This is why stats don't always mean stuff. Also, different styles. Dybala adds way more to the team anyway. I can see Dybala winning the Ballon D'or with us. Can never see Lukaku doing that.

Dybala is a once in a generation level of talent. This guy will tear the premier league to shreds if he's played in his role

And Lukaku had no service.

I’m not saying it’s a bad signing, I’m simply saying one gets excuses made as he has the name. One doesn’t
Oh I agree. Lukaku is a beast of a striker in the right system and he's not really valued on the caf.

United seem to be briefing anyone who will listen as to their intent to buy Dybala, which tells me this is most likely a ploy to pressure Inter to up their bid. I dont see Dybala as fitting Oles style of play and I dont think he actually wants to come to OT either.

Id be happy if we got him but this seems very orchestrated to me.

One is a limited poacher. Yes we don't play to his strengths but most have realized Lukaku is nothing more than a poacher even though he's damn good at it.

The other Dybala one of the most promising players of this generation.

The only question I'm asking myself is why is Juve willing to let him go? Does he have some sort of injury issue nobody knows of? It's just bizarre to me. Perhaps it's just Alexis 2.0 paranoia.
Because he had an abysmal season, and he’s not that good.

Last minute of the last game of the premier league. United need one goal to claim the Premier league. James goes past one defender, speeding past another! Passes it to Greenwood who flicks it on to DYBALAAAAAAAAAAAAGHGHGHGHGHAHAHHHH UNITED HAVE PUSHED CITY OFF THE TITLE AND RECLAIMED THE THRONE! OLE HAS DONE IT!

He is a good player but I wouldn't go that far

Why? I'm not saying he's a once in a generation player (yet) but definitely a talent. He's one of the finest players Argentina has produced this gen (Messi/Aguero are of a previous gen). It wouldn't be a surprise if he got his act together and won the Ballon'Dor.

Very good player. Hope this happens. Better than getting just cash off inter at this point too.

If the latter of the bolded happens, you might not be reaching with the former. A lot of folks have forgotten how good he was with Palermo. He was supposed to be heir to Messi, no? Granted that's probably never happening again in our lifetimes, Dybala is still the caliber talent that could become a United legend. He's been massively under the radar in the Juve system in my opinion. Pop him into the 10 role with Ole the way we're all hoping and we have ourselves a real baller.

Here's to hoping all that praise about Old Trafford means he will be open to joining us.

If he joins us, where do we see him playing? Surely the Fernandes deal is too advanced to call off? So there goes the #10. Would he play on the right?

Played as a CM spent most of the first half of the season supposedly in an argument with Allegri. Scored 27 or something the previous season. Didn’t really do what he was good at the previous season as In dribbling at people and taking them on which I guess maybe was a bit of a Ronaldo effect.

Against parked busses Ole's style of play just won't work with these forward players upfront who can't play in short spaces and have spacial awareness of the highest level.

He could be useful in tight spaces on the right side which we severely lack quality in.

This is what I'd be wondering too, who plays at #10...?
Then again, I can think of worse dilemma to have.

His best position would probably be as a 2nd striker, similar to how Rooney used to play under Sir Alex in a 4-4-1-1.

Martial
Rashford Fernandes Dybala

I'm not sure how useful either are in the press so not sure if that is way too attacking (I'd imagine it is)

I would love Dybala signing for us and I couldn't give a rats ass if it meant the likes of Lingard and Mata don't play.
I don’t think that’s anybody’s objection. How about if we do sign him, he plays like Mata and complains like Di Maria and wants to feck off in 6 months time. Would you still love him to sign for us?

Liverpool fan mates stating that he remembers my excitement with signing Di Maria, Falcao, Schweinsteiger, Pogba, Ibra, Sanchez.

I think it’s different this time. He said I said that last time.

Not sure how I feel about this. Feels very much like the Di Maria transfer. In fact likely even a bigger risk considering he's coming off the back of a disappointing season whereas Di Maria was one of the best players in the world the season before we signed him.

Signing Dybala and then playing him on the right would be a waste of time. We're not going to sign Fernandes if we sign Dybala, he'll just play at the tip of the midfield where Fernandes would've played. You won't fit them in the same side so there's little use trying.

Ask him if he remembers their last league title. That might test the ol' memory a bit more.
