He could score in the first half but my word, he has to put some strength in it. Fred weights less, didn't had much minutes and looks miles stronger.

Doesn't even look better than Dan James who's taken straight from Championship level... absolutely no signs of improvement.

I know those who defend him will consistantly point to SAF rating him, and LvG, Mourinho, Southgate and Solskjær picking him.
And point to the fact that we who don't see it know nothing about football.

Would be nice if you could actually see what is good about him in an attacking sense, seeing as he is a part of our front three/four.

Weird having a player like that, looks way out of his depth and a constant reminder of my lack of knowledge of football.

It's like the emperors new clothes, those who rate him can't point to anything about his quality but feel good about themselves knowing they are a part of football's top echelons of higher knowledge.

Having this clown steal minutes from Gomes is sad and frustrating. Hopefully we can get him signed on a new contract anyway and loan him out to a PL team until even Solskjaer realises he needs to sell Lingard and Mata.

Its not about his technique, but What other lets say big team has so uncreative n10? He cannot see brexit neither perfect through pass option or do something unpredictable. But i must admit one of his cross was really decent like what i didnt saw from him at least half year

He just reminds me of Cleverley. Decent player who work hard for the team, run around, make us tick or whatever.

But if we actually have aspiration to challenge for the titles, then we have to improve on him.

Rated him all through his time coming through the ranks here at UTD,looked for all the world a natural,but the end of last season and now this preseason looks way off/disinterested.

I missed the game earlier, so just got finished watching the reply on mutv. Yet again Lingard stood out for all the wrong reasons. I’ve looked for the shit that people use to defend him, but I’m not seeing it. He’s just meh.

I think most of us would be happy with Jesse having a squad role similar to that of Ji Sung but there is no way he should be starting a high percentage of games.

How much would we genuinely get for him if we got rid? I'd be happy with £10m if it meant he didn't play for us again but that doesn't even buy you half a Championship centre back anymore.

He looks really poor, and in this new pressing style his limits are very visible. He works hard, but with the ball is very limited. Mata actually looks much better in that central role, and people are not sure about that extension we gave him.

The open letter to the owners should have included a section on selling/giving away lingard. Could do something useful like raffling him off to raise money for a charity.

Why the feck OGS doesn’t understand this? Is he forced to play Lingard by the club board or what? Every supporter and then some see with their eyes that he plays like shite almost every game, season after season.

yesterday there were many average players on the pitch, but Lingard outshone all of them. He made bad passes while the opponents had their basics correct. Also, his bad passes made it easier for them to defend against united. Not even a championship quality player.

Yeah. Unforgiveable for any attacking player, absolutely UNFORGIVEABLE. Let alone one playing the majority of games for a club the size of Man United. It's a complete kick in the teeth to the fans that we are persisting with this fraud as a key player for another season.

If we placed him on the market, right now? Forgetting his wages as that would prevent any cnut from being interested...

Probably £15m, maximum, from a team on Brighton's level or similar. He's not even good enough for a top 10 club, and would struggle to get much game time for many bottom half of the table clubs.
