What do people think about leaving Salah out and going for a Liverpool back 3 of VVD, TAA and Robertson or is it too suicidal?

@Nickosaur @Adcuth et al. What you guys think of my team?

I've chosen the 3 teams who I believe will have the easiest fixtures and wack those players in. I want Sterling/Aguero but I don't know how to accommodate one of them. Even Rashford and Pogba I believe could have great seasons.

3 from Liverpool is understandable, but it's overkill to have 3 Bournemouth, and probably a bit mad to have 3 Everton.
Pick 2 of those 3 from Bournemouth and just one from Everton. Add another city player in there.

Everton 's opening fixtures look very good and I have been looking and their attacking players, Richarlison, Sigurdsson and Kean but Everton in the preseason have been shut out 4 times and only scored one goal in each of their other three games. I know its only the preseason but what makes people think Everton are going to score a lot of goals in their opening fixtures?

My working theory is that if Everton sign Zaha then Sigurdsson is almost mandatory this season. Wit VAR I think Zaha, Richarlson and Walcott will be big penalty winners.

Hello guys, I need your opinion on this:

my current team is:

Ederson
Taylor - VVD - Robertson - Stones
Sterling(C) -Moura - Frazer - Martial
Firmino - Jota

subs: Ryan(GK) - Dunk - Westwood - Success

I have still 0.5 in the bank and I am wondering if I should use it to upgrade from Jota to Kean. Do you think Everton will throw him in from the start? Jota is a guaranteed starter and I will be kicking myself if I change them and Kean is benched for the first game:houllier:

At the minute my team is

Pickford
van Aanholt TAA Robertson Stones (Rico)
Fraser Sterling Salah Perez Barkley
Wilson (Greenwood, Nketiah)

So I've got no bench basically. Someone talk me out of it.

Settled on a team. That's it.

Ryan
AWB, Digne, Robertson
Sterling, Sigurdsson, Barkley, Salah
King, Vardy, Adams

Subs: Button, Dendonker, Lindstrom, Aarons

Think it looks solid.

My team currently is:

De Gea
Zinchenko, Robertson, Digne
Salah, Sterling, Martial, Fraser, Perez
King, Jota

Subs: Button, Dunk, Lundstram, Greenwood.

I think it's a great midfield. Defence is good too. Unsure on that front two though.

Ryan Fraser is really close to must have on Fantasy. Why?

Callum Wilson is a really sharp and quick striker. If Wilson, King and Fraser playing regular. All of the close 3000 minutes. Fraser had 14 assist last season and its a big chance he will be above 10 assist again. He got 181 points last season, for a middle table team. He will easily come over 200 points playing for a top 5 club. He has so high engine, energy and he is quick. I think its just a matter of time he will join a bigger club than Bournemouth.

Your assist passes need clinical and sharp finisher. And they have in special in Wilson. The season before last season. Wilson was long time injured. Fraser only had 3 assists in 2000 minutes. Football is about the relations to your teammate.

And another of of relations beetween a good creative players and sharp finisher. Is Arsenal. Even 9.5 mill for Pepe is a bit high. Because of the good finisher in Auba and Lacazette. Adding with the central creative of Ceballos. It is smart to have Arsenal players. My recommendation is to have Arsenal players from Gameweek 8 to Gameweek 16. They will score many goals in this period.
Just look at Kolasinac last season. He had 7 assists, with only 1886 minutes. If he play 3000 miuntes. You can imagine how many assists he would have. Its about the relations. Like volleyball. A need set up need a good smash.

Again. Note down to buy Arsenal players from game week 8. Look at theirs fixtures. I think Ceballos, Pepe and Auba would be too much to handle for those teams in that period. From round 8 - 16. Maybe from Gameweek 5 too.

And at 4.5 for defender. As a 4 option. Aaron right back for Norwich is a good buy. Same reason. Norwich have many goalscorer midfield and attacking players. So if Aaron play regular, he will het many assists. Norwich can be a team great to watch this season. Many footie ball players up there. I have watch them on youtube and take a closer look on them. So again. If Aaron. I am sure his price will rise.

And in the end. Salah is player it is really difficult to drop him out of team. Because you know Salah max level. If he has the day. He can easily have two goals and two assists. And if someone have him as captain and you dont have that day. Its close to 40 points advantage to those players. So yeah. Its hard drop Salah. If Salah take the penalties instead of Milner. Salah is a bankers and must have on the team.

So with mine recommendations i do have Aarons, Fraser, Salah and Auba in the team. And maybe in with Pepe from gameweek 5. Enjoy the game ;)

Does anyone else purposefully avoid having two players from the same club in the same position? I've been tempted by Sterling and B.Silva but I can't bring myself to it after sticking to that rule for so long.

Ozil -> Fraser. Ozil isn’t guaranteed to start most games and even if he does I fancy Fraser to outscore him at the same price.

I try not to get multiple players from the same team apart from the top 2/3 teams. I already have King from Bournemouth so Fraser doesn't make sense, at least at the moment unless he proves otherwise.

I think this is Ozils year to make a comeback. I saw some glimpses in their last pre-season match against Barca which indicated Emery has got him on a decent level and he might just turn out to be a bargain for 7.5.

I also like Martial who I could swap him with. But Chelsea & Wolves may turn out to be tight draws for us or low scoring games so I am staying away from United players for now.

By the way, I did like your suggestion, I was just saying Fraser might not be the best alternative.

Another one I like for that price is Maddison but Leicester has a couple of tough fixtures in the beginning so I'm not that confident he'll give many points in the beginning.

Hence why I decided to go with Ozil and give him a chance right in the beginning so I don't waste time later in the season if he isn't performing.

Is no one going for Richarlison this season? Over the last 2 seasons, he has had brilliant starts before the goals dried up after a couple of months. That could be the case this season too.

Same price point as Sigurdsson makes the later the better choice really

My team is very similar. I like it!

Edit: My team used to be similar. I don't like it.

Seriously though, I do like your team. Forwards are overrated.

There is no spoon.
Ederson
Wan-B - Digne - TAA
Pulisic - Perez - Siggy - Sterling - L Moura
Rashers - Wilson

Subs: Button, Cathcart, Dunk, Greenwood

So after much deliberation i've settled on my team for the weekend. Moura in for the first few games see how things go, same with Perez, i can easily downgrade Perez or Moura to Jota and take a premium defender and fall back to 4-4-2, likewise if united dont start firing ill swap rashers out.

Under the roof, above the clouds
I cant decide at all!!!
current :

Henderson (Button)
Robertson-AWB-WalkerPeters-Simpson (Kelly)
Martial-Salah-Sterling-Zaha (Dendoncker)
Kane-Kean(Greenwood)

-Giving Martial some games to see if he will play forward
-Greenwood looks like he will play a role, from the bench att least
-Salah, Sterling and Kane might be overkill.

You got to cover your bases as well as you can with a mixture of teams so getting Kane in would be a big assest if you already have Salah and a Man City attacker. I hope he and Aubameyang dont rise in value before I get rid of Wilson

Harry Wilson to Bournemouth is interesting. Might be worth a punt if he is priced right when he is added.

Aubameyang or Kane?
Most weeks Kane as hes a dead cert but its tempting to rotate with Auba when Arsenal play dead rubber games. But then again Emery loves rotation and could rest him in such occasions.

I’m having that issue with Sterling/De Bruyne. I had them both with Firminho upfront, but I have a feeling other people in my private league will all be captaining Salah, so I’m leaning towards Salah/De Bruyne and maybe looking at someone else over Firminho.

Then, I can’t really find a replacement for Firminho. Our opening fixtures aren’t great for Rashford, same for Vardy and Lacazette is potentially injured. May stick with him for the opening game at least.

Already had KDB in my team. Would need to find another 1.5 mil to add Kane or Auba. Not sure it’s worth giving up Sigurdsson or Wilson to go with one of them.

I am not going to trust Everton. They always end up signing bunch of players and then struggle beginning of the season.

Pope (Lord Button)
Digne - TAA - Robertson - Ake (Lundstram)
Perez - Fraser - Mane - Sterling (Quina)
King - Vardy (Greenwood)

vs

Pope (Lord Button)
AWB - Robertson - Zinchenko - Ake (Lundstram)
Perez - Fraser - Mane - Stirling - Felipe Anderson
Aubameyang (Greenwood, Nketiah)

second one feels less balanced, but what says you wee bastids?
