Think he deserves his loyalty bonus too considering what he has done for them
He deserves his wages and performance bonuses for what he's done for them. The loyalty bonus is based on loyalty and not trying to move somewhere else. He's spent an entire summer trying to move somewhere else after signing a bigger long term contract.

Is there some trouble between Lampard and Luiz? Perhaps how he left first time round?

This last week of this transfer window has officially mentally exhausted me.. No joke, I seen that headline earlier about us rejecting Smalling going to Everton and i got an instant headache.

I know some fans are "but we got 2x good DF & a LW!"... yes, but we also knew CM was crucial, and we had 3 months to organise something for this and done feck all.. & i refuse to believe that United dont see any suitable quality out there. There are multiple good options for Cm & RW.. Taking 2months to get Maguire, & a month to do a deal for AWB is a joke.

Im clocking out and going dark til Friday. Because 99.9% of stories about united are complete bullshit. We aint signing anyone else and every time i think about it my head gets proper fried

It'll never happen but with our reported sell-on fee, we could feasibly bring in Zaha at a lower cost than the departing Lukaku. At this late stage Zaha for Lukaku wouldn't be a bad thing. It would also stop one of our direct competitors for top 6, like Everton, from strengthening even more.

My brain can't get pregnant!
This is random but one thing that always strikes me when it comes to David Moyes' time here is that he was incredibly ambitious in terms of the players he was looking to sign in the transfer market. Bale, Kroos, Fabregas, etc but all turned him down.
That's not strictly true. Moyes had deals agreed with several players to sign for United in the Summer window, but he was sacked and replaced. Kroos, Shaw and William Carvalho were three to have agreed terms with him and United. LvG turned two of those and another two down according to several reports by credited journos close to the club. Kroos would have been at United if Moyes had stayed on.

My Theory

Inter are rushing the deal today so we can re-invest the funds.
We have got wind that Zaha would be interested - We have asked him to prove how much he wants it..... Hence the slightly odd time to be handing in a request.
Part of the reason we agreed the deal we did with Palace for AWB was for us to keep the sell on clause with Palace so we could sign Zaha at a similar price that we would get for Lukaku. Hence us paying a little more than we should have for AWB.

Zaha would surely only hand in a request at this late stage if there was something in the pipeline and with respect to Everton, i cant imagine him giving up his loyalty payment to play for them. Arsenal have bought Pepe, Chelsea are out of the running. Could be Spurs, he has been linked with them before but Son and Lucas would likely be infront of him. So that leaves us. With a big gaping hole in our starting 11 for him on the right. Where in my opinion, he performs as well as anyone in the EPL.

Because our transfer window shuts tomorrow, theirs doesn’t.
We have money in the bank.. Doesnt matter if he moves in a week or two.
I dont think there is any way back for Lukaku at this stage.. If he is going to be replaced, it'll happen regardless. If not, we still dont need money from his sale to fund other purchases.

If balancing books is an issue, we can sell anytime before June 30th next year... and I dont think balancing books is much of an issue fwiw.

If Inter want him, there is an asking price. If they can meet it, he is theirs. if not, feck them.
