Good news. We may miss his goals but the team as a whole will benefit from not having a striker whose second touch is a tackle.

Goodbye big man. For such an apparent clinical finisher when he’s fed, he was pretty dam wasteful. Arsenal away last season springs to mind during Ole’ awful run.

Guys no way we would sell him without someone coming in. I mean we cant be that stupid right.
Martial - Inconsistent
Rashford - Young/ Inconsistent
Greenwood - Young lots of potential but cant have too much pressure put on
Sanchez - Dead

Surely we aren't going to end this window with a transfer net spend around 60-75 mil? :/

There are players I rave about. Players I constantly talk up and say I want to see us sign. Players who, outside of United, would be my favourite players in world football. We've coincidentally signed some of these players in recent years:

Di Maria
Schweinsteiger
Lukaku
Maguire

I fear for Harry.

Good, get the fat lump gone. Take your shite first touch elsewhere and go point aimlessly in Milan instead.

See you Lukaku. Don't know where it went wrong after a very good first season. I thought you would push on from there. Your attitude with the way it's ended though was disrespectful to the fans. You won't be missed.

Off with him. Doesnt even deserve any announcement.

Leaking the running stats was inexcusable in my eyes. Glad Ole exiled him.

Deadline in less than 24 hours with little chance of a replacement striker. Shambles of a transfer window. Overjoyed in the sense that we are free of Rom's first touch but we're going to struggle for goals with our current lineup. I'm very worried..

In my view, you can't claim to be a top class forward, or really even an effective forward, in the modern game if all you can do is score goals. Lukaku's contribution when he doesn't score is absolutely nothing. And he requires the ball laid on a plate for him in order to score. I can't see any side that he plays in ever come close to winning anything significant. He drains too much out of the rest of the side, and doesn't give enough back.

One of. Thought he was absolutely electric at Everton. Created his own goals, made consistently fantastic runs, great finisher. Among the happiest I've ever been with a signing.

Shows what I know. Although in my defence I couldn't have predicted he'd become out of shape and decide to act like a horrific professional.

I can see this transfer taking up most of today and tomorrow and only going through close to deadline. Ed will come out and say that we didn't have time to re-invest the money in anyone else because it took so long. Delay tactics so we don't spend the money and Ed saves face with the fans. Tbf it would be difficult to get a deal concluded with someone else this late in the window but we should have had other players lined up and ready to move on.

Take the money and run!
Unlike Lukuku who takes the money and waddles

Shocking management all round. The preparation of our transfer committee is a joke. We are going into a season with Martial, Rashford, Greenwood and Sanchez.
We are better off without Lukuku, even if we don’t replace him. He scored 12 league goals last season, none of which were against the top 10!!! We were playing with 10 men most of the time he was on the pitch - we can replace a lard arse who couldn’t run after 15 minutes of a match. Those minutes can go to Martial and Rashford who will actually play upfront.

For most other clubs that would be an amazing strike force but for some reason it just doesn't click for us.

I feel like we've done incredibly well to get up to £77m for him, net spend brigade must be licking their chops

He tried in the first few months, then reverted to the lazy prick he is. Didn't deserve to be here and I'm shocked that we've got such a good sum for him.
