It's not the end of the world if we signed nobody else this summer

Goodness me, must suck to be some on here - giving up even before a ball is kicked.

It was always going to take more than 1 window to build into a team that can contend. This window we've solidified our defense. Seemingly getting a good amount for a player that just doesn't fit the long term vision of the club for our forward play. Yes CM needs reinforcements but, we weren't just going to buy for the sake of it - much like what we did over the last several years.

And without a shadow of a doubt, we are well capable of top 4 this season - that's the initial goal, then we continue to add pieces while continuing to build a system of play that will see us be a lot more of an attacking threat and be more aggressive in getting the ball back higher up the pitch - that all will take time.

We are going to beat Chelsea on Sunday and from there who knows what the season will bring.

Obviously as a fan, I'd like us to strengthen and get better players in, but if we don't manage to get anyone else over the line, big deal. If Ole really is in for the long haul, so what? There's Jan, next summer, and every single transfer window thereafter. There's absolutely no realistic chance we would compete for anything beyond top 4 this season anyway, and I think we should keep our expectations in check.

If Ole is given the time to build, build he will, but Rome wasn't built in a day! There are real positives to not signing anyone else, namely the young lads getting games, and some pride being injected back into the club.

The signings we have already made are brilliant, and if thats a sign of things to come, I am willing to be patient and not have a meltdown.

I am quite proud of the club for not bowing to Dybala's demands, and questioning his intentions/desire. To me it show's we are going in the right direction!

If we do strengthen further, bonus...but I completely trust in this apparent change in approach to transfers.
You've been suckered by a club that are confusing a newly found ethos with a lack of ambition.

Even just looking at the number of bodies we have in midfield is worrying. We are definitely light even if you don't consider the quality.

I keep forgetting we have Sanchez in the team and I'm still hopelessly optimistic about him turning half decent.

If it makes you feel any better, Ole trusts him less than he did Lukaku and wanted Alexis gone this summer but the club failed to find a suitor.
